River Rafting @ Kolad.
Its always exciting and adventitious to be in the front to take the challenges and it gives a scene of satisfaction once accomplished.
Rafting done on the first day of monsoon, June 2017.
My Short journey to explore Karvy Flowers in the wild @ SGNP, Borivali, Mumbai.
About the Plant:
Karvy is a purplish-blue wild flower, which blooms once every seven years. The plant was first discovered by Nees, a resident Britisher of Mumbai in the last century. It is a shrub growing 2-6 m tall. Each year the plant comes alive with the advent of Monsoon, and once the rains are over, what is left behind is dry and dead-looking stems. This pattern repeats itself for seven years. In the seventh year, the plant explodes into mass flowering.
Medicinal uses: The Karvy leaves are crushed and the juice is believed to be a sure cure for stomach ailments.
Note: You can see this flowers till Sept.
Dhamma Giri - Vipassana International Academy - Igatpuri
Dhamma Giri, meaning ‘Hill of Dhamma’, is one of the world’s largest meditation centres and the main centre of a rapidly growing global Vipassana organization. It is dedicated to the teaching of Vipassana Meditation as taught by S.N. Goenka in the tradition of Sayagyi U Ba Khin.
Vipassana, which means to see things as they really are, is one of India's most ancient techniques of meditation. It was taught in India more than 2500 years ago as a universal remedy for universal ills, an Art of Living.
Vipassana is the process of self-purification by self-observation. One begins by observing the natural breath to concentrate the mind. Then, with a sharpened awareness, one proceeds to observe the changing nature of body and mind and experiences the universal truths of impermanence, suffering and egolessness. This truth-realization by direct experience results in mental purification.

A short trip to Tungareshwer.
Last Monday I meet my friends & decided to go on a bike ride, as it was drizzling.
We headed towards Amhedabad Highway and decided to go to Tungareshwer. We walked for about an hour from the start point. It was an awesome experience but we didn't feel we are so close to a city. Greenery everywhere and river flowing at its full capacity.
Its a best place to visit or trek during monsoon. This are some of the spots I prefer to go regularly.
It was fun to see a local/ villager trying fishery in Velas Village, Ratnagiri...
