ABOUT OUR DAYCARE:
Kangaroo Kids has over two decades of experience in nurturing preschool children. Our daycare structure creates a responsive environment for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, kindergarteners and primary children. The daycare has a predictable sequence of events which provides a sense of order for children, teachers and families. Young children need a schedule that is regular, pre

dictable but flexible to meet their individual needs. Our responsive and flexible care caters to children’s unique interests. OUR DAILY SCHEDULE
Routine care:
~ Arrivals and Greetings
~ Eating and Meal Times
~ Sleeping and Nap Time
~ Calm/Quiet time/Rest Time
~ Tidy Up Time/Wash Up Time
~ Bye-Bye Time!/Pick Up Time/Talk With Parents

In addition to providing routine care, children also engage in planned experiences that aid children’s development and learning. These include:
~ Activity/Play Centres
~ Circle Time
~ Concept Time
~ Nursery Rhyme Time
~ Attendance Time
~ Second Concept/Story Time/Special Days
~ Art or Craft/Easel/Cooking Experiences
~ Gross Motor Activities/Outdoor Play, Game Sessions and Connecting with Music & Movement
~ Computers/iPads/Sight Reading/Movie Watch
~ Art/Craft/Play Dough Time
~ Calm Music/Story Time
~ Table Toys/Puzzles/Manipulatives/Blocks/Readiness Activities or Games
~ Quiet time/Free Play

CHARACTERISTICS OF OUR DAYCARE
~ The daycare curriculum is integrated and interdisciplinary. It supports children’s learning across all the developmental areas - Physical, Cognitive, Language and Social/Emotional.
~ Our schedule is flexible and adaptable. It is designed to cater to children’s individual needs.
~ Optimum teacher - child ratio (focus is on building interpersonal relationships with teachers that are responsive)
~ The daily plan/schedule sets an unhurried, child – directed pace for routines and experiences of the day.
~ Sufficient time is provided for routines, play experiences and transitions
~ Children engage in a wide array of activities (large group and small group)
~ There is a balance between active and calm times.
~ Children engage in outdoor activities twice a day in full – time programmes. AGE ELIGIBILITY
Infants & Toddlers: 6 months – 1.5 years
Preschoolers: 1.6 years – 3.5 years
Kindergarteners: 3.6 years – 5.5 years
Homework Café for primary children: 6 – 10 years
