🏃♂️🌟 Excited to Share My Journey: From Milestones to New Heights! 🌟🏃♂️
After a hiatus, I'm back with something truly special! This moment fills me with immense pride—it's been a goal I've been chasing for a long time. I took a step back from social media to focus on personal growth, and now I'm thrilled to share my achievement with you all.
I'm overjoyed to announce that I completed my First Tata Ultra Marathon 2024 on February 25th, marking my second Ultra Marathon after last year's Kaas Ultra Marathon 2023! This journey began with a burning desire to after experiencing some setbacks at the TMM 2024 event.
In February, I dedicated myself to rigorous hill runs, scaling over 2000 meters collectively to conquer the challenges of the Lonavala Hills. The event kicked off early Sunday morning at 1 am, following a fantastic warm-up and team huddle filled with Shiv spirit.
Scaling 768 meters of altitude while running and maintaining pace is no easy feat. Ultra Marathon tests your endurance and mental fortitude, much like a test match—you have to stay strong until the last 50th Km.
Despite some nerves from past experiences, I was determined to beat my target set for the Tata Ultra event. I aimed to finish within 05:14:49 hours to secure better seedings in the Comrades Ultra Marathon—a goal I missed during TMM'24.
Running through the moonlit hills of Lonavala was an exhilarating and memorable experience. Volunteers' unwavering support amidst the cold breeze was deeply gratifying. I completed the first 25km in 2:30 hours, and the real challenge was maintaining this pace amidst the rolling terrain.
Slowly and steadily, I followed my own rhythm, overcoming obstacles along the way. With the encouragement of fellow runners and the invaluable support of my coach, mentor Shiv Yadav , nutritionist , and beloved team Shiv Spirit, I crossed the finish line of my 2nd Ultra Marathon in 05:05:32 hours—a remarkable improvement from last year!
Additionally, I achieved a surprising PR of 04:16:30 for the Marathon distance (TMM - 04:31:55). None of this would have been possible without the unwavering love and support of my partner Pragati Bansod
