We - the Ratnadurga Mountaineers - are experts for outdoor activities in Western Ghats and offer you a variety of hikes, tours and activities. We have long years of experience in outdoor activities and mountaineering, both in Western Ghats and Himalaya. With the Ratnadurga Mountaineers you can experience Maharashtras off the beaten tracks and enjoy the beautiful nature and

wildlife that Western Ghats offers often not far outside the major cities. While we concentrate on Adventure and trekking, we offer a variety of activities and training programs for all age groups and fitness levels. Our volunteer are trained and experienced in outdoor skills and First Aid
Area of Activities
We have a large variety of trekking tours that take you out of Maharashtra and into the quiet and beautiful landscape around, you will enjoy nature while getting some exercise with a good chance to spot some wildlife. We also offer hikes that include camping and overnight stays in the Jungle and have a number of outdoor training activities that will keep you in shape and prepare you for the outdoors.

Objectives
Ratnadurga Mountaineers aims to give active people in Western Ghats and from outside the opportunity to
• enjoy nature and the outdoors
• get some exercise ( better than ANY gym ) and have fun
• improve their outdoor skills
• obtain and improve knowledge about nature in Western Ghats
• get to know Western Ghats from a different, exciting side
• test and go beyond their physical and mental limits
• prepare for mountaineering projects
• meet active people with similar interests
A major concern of the Ratnadurga Mountaineers is to introduce children to nature, hiking and outdoor activities. To achieve this, we organize regular activities and hikes specifically tailored for the capabilities and needs of children. Finally, we want to raise the awareness for the necessity to respect and to protect nature and the environment in Western Ghats. We started off as a small group of expats, mainly from Ratnagiri, used to an active outdoor lifestyle and suddenly confronted with big city life in Maharashtra and very limited possibilities to be active in nature. We discovered the beautiful landscapes and nature that Western Ghats offers and we were happy to explore. Since then we have hiked and climbed, we swam and rowed, we sweated and suffered, we explored trails and non-trails all over Western Ghats and have learned to appreciate the possibilities this country offers for active, adventurous people. We also have learned that - like everywhere - nature can be quite unforgiving and learned our lessons. The size and membership of the group has changed over the years and the interest in our activities grew steadily. Finally the core members of the group decided to take this to the next level and we are now happy to offer our services as a professional and registered tour company in Western Ghats .

🟢 About Rangna Fort

📍 Rangna Fort is a remarkable example of the synergy between nature and human achievement. Nestled deep within dense forests, this peak stands as a testament to what can be accomplished in challenging conditions. Situated in the Sahyadri Mountains on the border of Kolhapur and Sindhudurg districts of Maharashtra, Rangna Fort rises to an elevation of 2600 ft above MSL. Known as Prasidhdha Gad in Maratha history, it is located 50 km south of Panhala, the capital of the Kolhapur region. This fort is not easily accessible, boasts impressive fortifications, and is a formidable challenge even for adversaries.

*भल्या पहाटे निघुन मार्लेश्वरच्या अलीकडच अंगवली गावातुन अडीच तासांची डोंगर व पठारांची आड मार्गाची पायपीटी करुन जे काही निसर्गाच अद्भुत दर्शन लाभलं ते आमच्यासाठी स्वर्ग सुखच होत....*
*नजर जाईस्तोवर गर्द हिरवाईने वेढलेल्या भव्यदिव्य डोंगर दऱ्या असा मार्लेश्वराचा थाट आणि त्यात मार्लेश्वरावर अभिषेक करणारे प्रचंड मोठे व छोटे छोटे धबधबे व त्यांच क्षणा क्षणाला बदलणार रुप कधी ढगातुन तर कधी कडयाकपारीतुन मार्लेश्वरावर होणारा अभिषेक नेत्रदीपक आणि सुखावणारा होता...*
