“Way back in June 1979 when the economy was still tied by the licence raj and permit quotas, when the aim of every individual was to get a blue collar job in the government, I dreamt of starting my own construction business and started out as a small contractor with big ambitions in the hill station Simla. I did my graduation in Commerce from evening college and also completed the ITI course which
gave me hands on experience and the necessary belief that this was my calling. It has been this ambition along with the virtues of integrity, commitment and hard work which have laid the foundation of all the work that I have been able to do in the last 32 years. I started out with government tenders and contracts in 1979. For more than 20 years till about 2000 I sustained and thrived under the pressures of working in the system to deliver quality products in record time. I have been a consultant to Oberoi resorts in Shimla (Oberoi Cecil, Oberoi Clarkes and The Wild Flower hall Resort) and have been a Joint Contractor in The Oberoi Orbit Resorts, Gurgaon. Since 2000 I have started private constructions of flats and cottages. The name Vimal Kumar Sood has been proudly associated with more than 40 flats till now with many more under construction. Equipped with qualified and devoted staff we believe in no compromise in the quality of work and settle for nothing less than perfection! I value and cherish each of my works and am proud to say that all the work done by me in the field of construction has been of the best quality and has been awarded and recognized by government and private organizations. But more than anything else I cherish the relationships that I have built along the way in the last 32 years. This website is a heartfelt extension of this very feeling of trust and quality which the name Vimal Kumar Sood has been proudly associated with and will strive to continue doing the same in the future.”
