opment. The local people are intelligent, but with lack of confidence & exposure. The promoter of the project decided to set up ROLL MODELS in different fields. To execute the ideas & to operate the activities considerable amount of monetary back up is required. The first lesson to build up self confidence is NOT TO BEG FOR ANYTHING AND TO ANYONE. This ANYTHING includes donations for social activities. For a healthy development of our Kokan vicinity, proper guidance for stage wise layout preparation, detail project report, project feasibility report with project economics particularly for industrial, commercial, tourism, agricultural, fishing & even social activities. The promoter believes in inclusion of experts, short term equity participation from different investors / institutions / financial organizations, with appropriate returns to them, and above all, the employment generation through different projects. It has been studied that many of the Kokan origin families shifted to major cities few decades before, have an aspiration to have their physical connection with Kokan. All such experienced and knowledgeable personalities have their own ideas for development of our Kokan. The promoter intends to form a group of such experts, who can guide and help in development of our Kokan for its industrial, agricultural, fishing, agro based value addition products, education etc. In the context, the promoter has taken up his first project as A LUXURY RESORT at Wayangani, Taluka Vengurla, District Sindhudurga. The Resort location is just adjacent to the Coastal Highway from Bordi to Kanyakumari. and proposed International Airport at Mopa on Goa Border is about 40 KMs. from the site. For proposed sea route to Kokan, the nearest port is Vengurla, which is about 10 KMs. To start with, the promoter has decided to set a Luxury Resort. The Resort is planned to set on 8 Acres (32,000 Sq. of land at Waingani, Taluka Vengurla, District Sindhudurga. An attractive entry gate well come the visitors. Resort security system checks every vehicle, entering the premises, with modern gadgets. Visitor, then parks his vehicle either in Restaurant parking OR Resort parking depending on his visit. A huge reception building with Diamond Ball on its top is designed for a unique attraction from road, sea and sky also. The transparent Diamond Ball lightens the reception area with natural day light whereas the same glows in the darkness of night. The Diamond Ball will be an unique attraction even form a longer distance. The octagonal structure of reception area is planned as an Art Gallery to display and sell the paintings and other articles of local artisans. A waiting hall is planned just behind the reception counter, where the visitor can enjoy resort site with a glass of well come drink. Any incoming luggage is planned to be scanned through safety scanner before it enters the resort. Being an Eco Friendly Resort no fuel vehicle is permitted inside the resort area. For internal movement and transportation, battery operated carts are arranged. A due care is also taken for physically handicapped person, if any. A Multi Cuisine Restaurant is planned on first floor, attached to reception. Family Bar, Bachelor’s Bar, Pure Vegetarian section with Peshwai décor, are the typical sections in restaurant area. A Banquette Hall is planned for seminars, conferences, indoor party events. Centralized kitchen is planned to cater prompt service to all the sections in restaurant. Just outside the restaurant building a huge party lawn is planned for different outdoor events. Marriage reception, felicitation program, competitions or any such events will be arranged on this event lawn. A single storey Recreation and Physical Fitness Centre is planned as indoor play hall and physical exercise centre for visitors visiting the resort. The rear part of the building is an indoor Badminton Court. On ground floor, one part is planned as a Yoga Centre and another part is set as Aerobics Centre. On first floor of the centre is planned as air conditioned Gymnasium with wash rooms and change rooms, separate for Gents and Ladies. Second part of the floor is designed for indoor games like pool table, table tennis, carom, chess, computer play stations etc. For a relax moment a terrace garden is designed where one can enjoy tea or coffee with friends chat. Kokan is a region considered for heavy rains. Most of the rain water is drained to the sea and the fall during the season becomes useless for rest of the days in year. To save the ground water and to conserve and use the rain water effectively, some rain water storage tanks are designed with artistic look compatible with the resort ambience. The total water storage estimated in these tanks is around 1.5 Lac liters. The water will be used for plants and lawns only. The resort has 2 Dug Wells with sufficient water source for resort use. For a comfortable stay in this Resort, 3 different categories are designed and set. The categories are set as per the area of construction, the interior décor and the amenities provided for visitors comfort. Every structure in resort is an independent bungalow with total privacy. A beautiful landscaping is designed compatible with the total ambience. Huge lawns, wide path ways and eye catching Flowery bushes will set a different glory in this resort. The resort is also planning for butterfly garden, orchid garden, water lily and lotus section in the premises.
