Thank you for your kind support to Kagoshima fish market tour. We have been trying to get ready for hosting tours regularly after spring. Unfortunately, we haven’t been able to find a consensus with the fish market office.
We are really sorry for announcing this but we don’t know when we can start regular tours yet.
However, the fish market office allows us to host one special tour on Saturday, 18th May 2024. If you would like to join, please reserve your spots. Only limited number of the seats are available.
The fish market office are taking applications for the visiting on their website. It’s not our tour and all are in Japanese. If you are interested, please check their website.

Market tour (fish market)
In order to understand the role of the wholesale market and the mechanism of distribution, and to promote the spread of fish food, we will accept a tour of the facilities of the fish market for consumers.
Note: Please be sure to check before applying.
Points to keep in mind
We cannot accept applications for purposes other than tours. Fish, etc. cannot be purchased in the market building.
Because it is a facility that handles fresh food, please pay close attention to infectious disease countermeasures and hygiene management, such as the implementation of hand disinfection and the use of boots.
Transport vehicles will come and go in the premises (on the premises), so please be careful when moving and passing on the premises.
On the day, you cannot enter if you are not feeling well, such as fever, cough, sense of smell, taste disorder, etc.
Due to disasters, epidemics of infectious diseases, etc., it may be canceled at the discretion of the city.

Contents of the tour
(1) Possible date and time
Designated days from Monday to Friday (excluding holidays, year-end and New Year holidays and closed days)
At the time of the tour, the staff of the city management office will guide you, so we will have one group per day a week.
If the desired date of the tour is duplicated, it will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
Please note that there are weeks when it is not possible to visit due to events.
