Madakani House is situated in the heart of Shela Village, a stones throw from the beach and dunes, and a short stroll from the famous Peponi Hotel. The house is serviced daily and a continental breakfast is included. A cooked breakfast is an optional extra and available on request. The high ceilinged entrance level has a pretty inner courtyard, lounge and dining area, fully equipped kitchen and a
lush tropical garden with seating area. There is also a guest bathroom with shower and space for additional sleeping if required. Take the beautiful double staircase to the second level and the master bedroom suite which has a study, dressing room and ensuite. Here there is another dining and lounging area and across the covered terrace is the second double bedroom and ensuite with a Makuti thatched roof and original Swahili stone walls. The third level has a very large triple bedroom (3 double beds) and ensuite with separate covered terrace area. This level is ideal for families or a group of friends. The rooftop level on the 4th floor has 360 degree views over Shela and the dunes and a very comfortable lounging and relaxation area. Madakani House is really authentic and full of character. It also features in the book ‘Swahili Chic’ by Bibi Jordan (Thames & Hudson).
