Did you know lionesses are primary hunters of a pride . They use teamwork to bring a prey down.After a successful hunting ,all the lions in the pride share the meal but in order with the adult males eating first,followed by lionesses and finally the cubs.

After a kill, a lioness may raise her tail as a way to signal to other members of her pride that she has made a successful kill and that there is food av ailable. This can be important for coordinating the feeding process and making sure that all members of the pride get a chance to eat.

Additionally, raising the tail can also be a sign of dominance and confidence. By lifting her tail high, a lioness may be asserting her dominance over other members of the pride and showing that she is the one in charge.

Nairobi National Park’s iconic lion, named Sirikoi, has died aged eight.
Sirikoi, one the most iconic lions of the Nairobi National Park, was born in January 2014 in the Sosian Valley [in Laikipia County]. He came from the MF family, one of the dominant and charismatic pride. RIP CHAMP
