Every year, they host the Yongmunsan Wild Plants Festival, AKA “The Most Healthy Festival in Korea!” In the past, the best herbs were harvested and presented to the king! Wild herbs have been used not only for medicinal purposes, but for eating too. Get the chance to pick out wild plants and eat them in a variety of traditional Korean dishes!

This year, the festival is encouraging festival-goers to be more eco-friendly in order to preserve Yangpyeong’s beauty. We can do this together by taking public transportation, avoiding disposable items, avoid littering, and getting educated on sustainable living. **Yangpyeong Insect Museum**
The Yangpyeong Insect Museum is a space dedicated to fostering understanding of insects by collecting, researching, and exhibiting insect specimens, providing knowledge and information to the public through various educational programs.
Established with the active interest and support of the Yangpyeong County, it houses over 1,500 insect specimens collected by Professor Shin Yoo-hang, the leading authority in entomology in Korea, during his residency in Yangpyeong for over a decade after his retirement. Following a three-month pilot operation, it was officially opened on November 18, 2011.
The museum features permanent exhibition spaces such as the Yangpyeong Insect Exhibition Hall, domestic and international insect exhibition halls, and a living insect experience hall, as well as temporary exhibition halls, video education rooms, photo zones, and storage facilities.
The outdoor ecological learning area includes a wastewater treatment facility tour path, a deck for observing the Namhan River, and an ecological park, serving as a natural learning space for children with soil, water, and green nature, and as a comfortable resting place for local residents and visitors.
The Insect Museum showcases a collection of over 20,000 insects from across the globe. Through its exhibits, the museum enlightens visitors about the various types of insects and their significance in the natural ecosystem. The displays and activities encompass both live and preserved specimens, with the silkworm room and the butterfly house as its most popular attractions.

**Sheep ranch**
Yangpyeong Sheep Ranch is a place where you can meet animals such as sheep, goats, piglets, ponies, ostriches, and donkeys. You can experience feeding hay directly to baby sheep and goats. Paju is a city in Gyeonggi province and is rich in Korean History as well as plenty of beautiful nature surrounding it. 3) Majang Lake Bridge 🌲

This suspension bridge is the longest in Korea with a length of 220 meters and a high of 10 meters above Majang Lake. Beautifully sitting above the waters, try to keep your balance as you walk across and enjoy the surrounding nature and lake views! 🫨 Getting to the bridge is fairly easy, as there is no need to hike. Moreover, after getting across, feel free to take a walk around the lake, which is easy and relaxing thanks to a wooden boardwalk that makes it accessible for all ages, perfect for bringing kids! 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

The market has food stalls offering a variety of delectables including fresh produce, local delicacies, and handmade goods! What did we tell you last week? That you shouldn’t miss our SKI101 Influencer’s Tour! It’s definitely a shame if you couldn’t make it, because it was by far one of the greatest events that happened this year.🤩

🥳 It was not your typical influencer's tour; rather, it made history as the first edition of the Mona Yongpyong Snow Festival – My 1st Snow in March. 🥳

☀️ We departed from Seoul bright and early and headed to Yongpyong!

Of course, the main activity of the event was the Ski Lesson! 🎿 We all tacked up, got our ski clothes, our ski gears and we hit the slopes! ⛷️ Even though we were all newbies, after our lesson we even managed to compete in a ski challenge! 💪🏻

Yet, the ski lesson wasn't the only thing we did! We also immersed ourselves in Korean traditional games 🎭, savored fresh rice cakes and dalgona treats 🍡. Some of us even dared to test our skills in a thrilling rope-jumping game! It was so fun! 🤼‍♀️

With the Ski Competition happening, we all wondered about the prizes, of course! When the day wrapped up, we gathered excitedly for the award ceremony, while also digging into a delicious dinner buffet. 🏆 Mona Yongpyong had some awesome gifts lined up for our winners, and needless to say, we had a blast celebrating! 🎁🎉

The first day is all about skiing! Join a basic ski lesson and then practice the skills you have learnt during the free ski time! ⛷️ Let the kids know how fun it is to ski from a young age! Our dedicated Ski Team Bears are at your service, providing well-trained instructors who will ensure your safety on the slopes at all times, from start to finish. 😇

After so much snow fun on the first day, let’s turn it down a notch and have a bit of a relaxing day. You can choose to take a look over the Yongpyeong Resort and the snowy mountains surrounding the area by taking the Balgwansan Gondola 🚡. Or, if you’re in for a unique sensory experience, you can visit the Deepdive Museum and immerse yourselves in digital media exhibitions with themes like nature, fantasy, and space. 🪐 Lastly, find inner peace and relax altogether by joining a yoga session. 🧘🏻‍♀️
