Ashok Vatika: According to the Ramayana epic, after Sita refused to stay in Ravana's palace, she was transferred to Ashok Vatika, a garden of Ashoka trees. It is said that Sita bathed in the nearby stream during her time at Ashok Vatika. In the epic, the Sundar Kand, a section of the Ramayana, specifically mentions Ashok Vatika as the place where Hanuman first encountered Sita. Additionally, there are notable holes in the rocks at the riverbank, considered footprints of Lord Hanuman, left during his visit to the area.
