Sri Lankan Leopard Cub in Action | Yala National Park, Sri Lanka
Sri Lankan Leopard (Panthera pardus kotiya) has been classified as endangered by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) and is native to Sri Lankan habitat.
Female leopards endure a gestation period of eighty to one hundred days and they give birth to one to three leopards at a time. Leopard cubs are dark and lightly spotted immediately after they born. They only attain their classic yellow and black patterns after a few months.
