The third spirit center is ihiyotl, kept in the liver. It governs one's gut reactions and instincts. It is one's "breath" or "spirit." This painting also my Manual Adria called "Child of Colors" (also known as beautiful Karla) is the closest we have to the ihiyotl - buts it's not a bad depiction because we can see into the eyes or soul of the woman's true colors - her "spirit" or ihiyotl.

Painting by Manual Adria called "Heart of Boy." Perhaps depicting: Teyolia. The second spiritual essence of the Nahuatl or Aztec people's which is kept in the heart. This essence is very much the soul of a person. It governs most who you are, it is the energy of one's thoughts and feelings. In addition, through this energy, a person is kept alive. When it leaves, the body dies. Amounts of teyolia also are found in the blood itself.
