BURNING ISSUE ON THEOLOGY WITH
PASTOR CHRIS ON THE BLESSED
VIRGIN MARY
l want commend Pastor Chris for his
evangelical works and mission as he
communicates the message of Christ to
his audience, and adjusts the minds of
people towards a high optimistic
tendencies and giving them a new
orientation to life. On the issue of
intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary,
l think this has to do with in depth
Mariological studies with exegetical
analysis in reference to Scripture and
tradition.
Obviously as a Pentecostal Pastor such
issue will not appeal to Pastor Chris. l
am also aware of his orientation and
that will make him to become full of
prejudice and biases. I understand such
prejudices and wish one day Pastor
Chris will open his mind so scholarly
presentation of Mariological studies
with a deep knowledge in New
Testament Greek to have the
hermeneutic key to understand the role
of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the
Economy of Salvation. Another point
the Man of God should also research in
is the studies on Christology, which l
know will be helpful to his ministry as
pastor. He should be familiar with the
Councils in Church History which every
Teacher of the Word should know to be
able to understand the historical
process of Christology in relation to
contemporary understanding of
Christology.
To have a better understanding of
Mariology, it has to be predicated on a
sound Christology. This two wings will
equip the Man of God in his ministry.
There are three levels of intercession;
The Latria, The Dulia, and the Hyper
Dulia. Jesus Christ is the Supreme
Intercessor for all Humanity and this
explains the Latria. The Hyper Dulia is
accredited to the Blessed virgin Mary
as one exceptionally privileged by God
in the name of Jesus Christ whom she
bore for us Humanity makes her share
in the intercessory role for us. This
would not have been without Christ
Jesus our redeemer. The Hyper Dulia is
for the saints who have gone before us
mark with the sign of faith who
participate in the beatific vision with
full vision of the Almighty God for the
life they live here on earth. This is
what l call the hierarchy of intercession
of which Christ is the Supreme.
Let me begin to introduce the Man of
God to Christological lnculturation in
contemporary African Theological
studies in relation to our
understanding of intercession. What are
the role of our ancestors in our culture.
Who are our ancestors? When we
translate such understanding in the
light of faith then the message of
Christ will have a deeper meaning to
us. Christ is our Supreme Ancestor Par
Excellence and a Model for all
Ancestors. l will therefore agree with
the above quotation from the scripture
1 Timothy 2 v 5 seeing Christ as the
only absolute way to intercede to God.
This does not in anyway reduces the
Blessed Virgin Mary’s intercessory role
for us. When the Angel visited the
Blessed Virgin Mary, he said, “Hail
Mary full of grace” The word “full”
connote a perfect grace in her as one
favored by God. No one else can
confirm this favor upon a person
except God. God willed it, He did it
and He can do it. For nothing is
impossible with God. This should not
really been an issue among Christians
for this is a matter of faith and believe.
l just wonder why this should be
coming up in your ministry as a
controversy. Please try to respect other
believes and faith doctrine for it will
not affect yours.
l therefore leave this comment with
the words of the Angel to Joseph
saying, ” do not be afraid to take Mary
home as your wife, for she has been
conceived in her that which is by the
power of the Holy Spirit”. This is a
meeting point for all Christians, Jesus
Christ and that is important for every
Christian, for the Blessed Virgin Mary
and for the saints. Further studies in
Ecumenical Theology will be a guide to
Pastor Chris.

Today, may the Strength of God,
pilot me,
The Power of God, uphold me,
The Wisdom of God, guide me. May
the Eye of God, look before me,
The Ear of God, hear me,
The Mouth of God, speak for me.
May the Hand of God, protect me,
The Shield of God, defend me,
The Host of God, save me,
Christ With me,
Christ Before me,
Christ Behind me,
Christ Beside me,
Christ Beneath me,
Christ Above me,
Christ on my right,
Christ on my my left,
May Christ Shield me today and
always. Amen.

*V A L E N T I N E Special*
"When ur neighbour is hungry & u
don't want to give or share wit him,
you endanger ur ownself/life". Hav u
eva wonder why in our society today,
we see different atrocious/ heinous
crimes? E.g kidnapping, robbery and
killings.. Yea! It's bcos the rich are
oppressing the poor wit their wealth
and also those that have don't want to
share a little to those in need. Giving
attracts more blessing to you, even God
demonstrated it by givin his son Jesus
to die jst to save poor wretched
sinners..(john 3:16). Jesus also said it in
Act 20:35, that it is more blessed to
give than recieve. Similarly.. Luke 6:38
states: give and it shall be given unto u
in good measure. Most pple claim to
Love one anoda, some pretend 2b their
brother's keeper but practically it
cannot be seen nor felt. We all recite
the Lord's prayer in Matt 6:11, which
we say "Give us dis day our daily
bread." we always ask for God but we
don't giv in return in oda to receive
more. Since dis month (feb), i've been
hearing Valentine, valentine, valentine.
I ask myself, what is Valentine? Must u
wait til it's Val's day b4 you can give
something or a helpin hand to
someone? GOD is the greatest
valentine, he gives freely & at all time.
You can imagine the life he gives us
everyday witout we payin for it. GOD
has given us life as a gift so u too can
be a blessin to anoda person. Psalms
24:1 states- the earth is God's own and
all that is in it, the world & those who
dwell therein. If God has blessed u,
why not bless som other person today,
knwin that you are givin to God in
return jst as he commanded us to do..
(give)..pro verbs 19:17. Many wil giv in
the name of VAL wit reasons, To
impress, To gain favour, To show and
To be praised. I tell u the truth, givin
in such manner/ mindset is bad. If u're
givin a gift to som one, do it in secret
witout publicity to attract praise frm
people so that God who sees in secret,
will reward u openly...Matt 6:1-4. If
u're giving, give cheerfully not
grudgingly but whole heartedly for
God loves a cheerful giver. NO wonder
they say givers never lack...2Corints
9:7-8. Give sacrificially, not expecting
any say back frm the reciever...luke
6:31-36. You are celebrating Val's day..
Ryt? I ask again, what are u doing so
far wit ur life so you too wil be
celebrated or immortalized 2mawro?
Most pple amass wealth for themselves
witout givin bak 2d society, forgettin
dat the day they close their eyes in
death which is inevitable, the wealth
may grow wings and fly away..proverbs
23:5. U may gather all u can but neva
take any to the grave wit u. No wonder
Eccles 1:2 says vanity of vanities, all is
vanity. Som pple spend their last cash
in the name of Val jst to pls som1 and
on things that add no value to their
lives or even bring Glory to God. Am
not saying u shouldn't hav Fun but
take note that he who luvs much wine
and is Gluttonous wil be reduced to
poverty...prove rbs 23:19-21. If u want
to show love, let it not be only in
words but in action.. 1join 3:16-18.
Jesus died for us bcos he loved us. We
too should giv to those in need to
prove our luv for one anoda. There are
many orphange, motherless babies,
home of the elderly, there are widows,
the sick, homeless, prisoners.. Etc. Pls
show love to them...JAMES 1:27. Put a
smile on their face and God wil reward
u. Do ur best to Amelieurate the plight
of others wit the surplus u hav.. If u
ignore the poor when they cry for
help,YOU too wil not be heard or
answered wen u call for
help...proverbs 21:13. Remember no
condition is permanent & change is
constant.. Be generous and share ur
food wit the poor for God wil bles
u...proverbs 22:9. Som pple are rich yet
stingy and grow poorer while some are
givin freely yet stil grow richer. When u
give, u'll continue 2b prosperous...pr
overbs 11:24-25. Even the pple u giv
wil alway pray for more blessing for u,
som wil even go extra mile to fast for
ur continuous progress.. Pls show love
to ur neighbour and God wil bless ur
Labour.. I pray this day, as many that
will give a helping hand to those in
need, may ur oil never run dry, may
God continue to bless the works of ur
hand, and expand ur coast so you also
wil be a blessing to those in need in
Jesus precious name i pray...AMEN!

Friends!
A perfect life can't be found
in wealth , because riches
can be taken away.
Not in popularity for popular people
can be forgotten.
Not in beauty for beauty isn't permanent.
Not in intelligence, because it doesn't make us a higher creation of
God.
Instead, a perfect life can
be found in contentment with
the things we have.
From the
love we give and get from the
people around us, and from
faith in God who gives us
everything.

My dear sisters and brothers, He stands at the door of your heart each day of your life knocking;
Have you heard Him today,
Are you ready to let Him rule over you?
This and many more you should meditate as you go about your daily activities.
Surrender all to Him,

Whoever is reading this; I understand
how rough things are right now in your
life, you are feeling as if you are at the
end of the road. You have tried your
entire level best but nothing seems to
be changing. Now you feel like giving
up…But I tell you what my dear, things
will get better at the end. You will get
that job, you will rescue your land, you
will win that case in court, you will
build your house, you will get that
tuition and finalize that degree, you
will get over that heartbreak, you will
cover up that loan, you’ll take back
your kids to school, you will get
married, you will get money and buy a
new piece of land and you will pay all
your bills.
Don’t think that you were cursed or
bewitched. Don’t think that God
doesn’t know what you are going
through. He sees and he knows what’s
best for you. Be strong, have
confidence in yourself and be with
hope that everything will be okay in
the end. Believe, pray and have faith in
God. He’ll help you get over that entire
hard situation you are going through.
That situation is not permanent in your
life. You’ll get over it with time.
Show some love today. Be generous and kind today.
Have a blessed day.

Ladies and Gentlemen,
If you want to
make your
partner sharp and to make your
relationship last
forever; Learn to pray together, Respect
each
other, support one another in any
possible way,
be patient to one another, encourage
each
other, be understanding, when you do
any
mistake or hurt your partner, accept
your
mistakes and ask for forgiveness. Learn
to
forgive your partner if he or she is in
wrong.
When your partner irks you, say it out
to him or
her, don’t pile anger. Show
appreciation towards
each other, learn how to compromise
and avoid
being defensive all the time. Maintain
the
communication; make sure you always
check on
one another throughout the day. Text
your
partner any simple message, (Hi love,
Have you
had lunch? Are you okay darling?
Goodnight, I
miss you, Good morning) it will show
that you
always think and care about him or
her. If you
have got sufficient credit then call on
him or
her. Trust one another, don’t listen to
rumours,
be creative in your relationship (once
in a while
surprise your partner) and be proud of
one
another.

THE HISTORY OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH
As the apostles of Jesus Christ spread the gospel, they provided the beginning structure for the early Christian Church. It is impossible to separate the initial stages of the Roman Catholic church from that of the early Christian church.

After Jesus died, Simon Peter, one of Jesus' disciples, became a strong leader in the Jewish Christian movement. Later James, most likely Jesus' brother, took over leadership. These followers of Christ viewed themselves as a reform movement within Judaism yet they continued to follow many of the Jewish laws.

At this time Saul, originally one of the strongest persecutors of the early Jewish Christians, had a blinding vision of Jesus Christ on the road to Damascus, and became a Christian. Adopting the name Paul, he became the greatest evangelist of the early Christian church. Paul's ministry, also called Pauline Christianity, was directed mainly to Gentiles rather than Jews. In subtle ways, the early church was already becoming divided.

Another belief system at this time was Gnostic Christianity, which taught that Jesus was a spirit being, sent by God to impart knowledge to humans so that they could escape the miseries of life on earth.

In addition to Gnostic, Jewish, and Pauline Christianity, there were already many other versions of Christianity being taught. After the fall of Jerusalem in 70 AD, the Jewish Christian movement was scattered. Pauline and Gnostic Christianity were left as the dominant groups.

The Roman Empire legally recognized Pauline Christianity as a valid religion in 313 AD. Later in that century, in 380 AD, Roman Catholicism became the official religion of the Roman Empire. During the following 1000 years, Catholics were the only people recognized as Christians.

In 1054 AD, a formal split occurred between the Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox churches. This division remains in effect today.

The next major division occurred in the 16th century with the Protestant Reformation.

Those who remained faithful to Roman Catholicism believed that the central regulation of doctrine by church leaders was necessary to prevent confusion and division within the church and corruption of its beliefs.
