Last month we celebrated our Women in Tech (WiT) Community and the theme of ‘Embracing Change’ with an incredible lineup of speakers, workshops, and panels. From November 11–14, WiTFest brought together JET colleagues and allies to connect, learn, and inspire one another. Some of our highlights included:

🎤 CPO Jessica Hall’s talk around actionable insights on harnessing resilience to fuel growth.
🎤 Katie Piper shared her heartfelt story of resilience reminded us to celebrate every win, big or small.
🎤 Cally Beaton shared her experiences on standing out, reinvention and making an impact
🎤 Kellie Kwarteng on ‘Allyship Illusion’
🎤 Insights with Claire Pointon, EVP of UK & Ireland at Just Eat, on being a female leader in a tech organisation and how adopting a curious mindset is key when faced with change.

We also hosted Menopause Awareness Workshops to build understanding and provide practical support for employees and managers at JET.

Jess Hall, Chief Product Officer, adds: “As women in tech, we have the opportunity to rewrite the story and open doors for those who come after us. It’s so important to support each other, share our experiences, and create a space where everyone feels heard. Did you know Enschede is where our CEO Jitse Groen, founded Thuisbezorgd.nl, our Just Eat Takeaway.com brand in the Netherlands, almost 25 years ago during his studies? 🇳🇱

During a family party, a discussion about how ordering food should be easier – fast forward to today, and we’re connecting more than 14,000 restaurant and retail partners with more than six million consumers looking for everyday convenience in the Netherlands.

This month, we celebrated the grand opening of our brand new JET office in Enschede, with special appearances from Jitse, and Enschede's alderman for Economic Affairs Malkis Jajan.

Previously, our JETers based in Enschede were spread across two offices, but now the different teams – from Dutch and German Customer Service, to the international Product & Tech team – can work together better in one JET-branded environment 💫

Over the past week, we've come together at Just Eat Takeaway.com to honour Transgender Awareness Week, culminating in Transgender Day of Remembrance today. This important week gave us the opportunity to reflect, learn, and take actionable steps towards fostering a more inclusive workplace for our trans colleagues.

Here’s what we did to mark the week:

💡Learning Together: We hosted an insightful session with guest speaker (@)Magda Stega, who shared perspectives on the trans experience and how workplaces can foster inclusivity.

📝 Employee Voices: Some of our trans colleagues published thought-provoking articles on our internal ERG community space. These pieces aim to educate, celebrate trans representation, and inspire allyship across the company.

💬 Personal Reflections: (@)Minerva White, a proud member of our JET & Proud ERG Committee, shared: “I’ve felt privileged to help run JET’s recognition of Transgender Awareness Week and Transgender Day of Remembrance this year. As someone passionate about ensuring people at JET understand the importance of accepting trans+ individuals and validating our experiences, it’s been fulfilling to make a genuine contribution. This campaign has also introduced me to incredible new people, enriching my own experience. I encourage everyone to support causes close to their heart—it’s always rewarding!”

Today, we’d like to shine the spotlight on our JETSetters Community 🌍 Relocating can be an exciting time, but there are often many challenges when it comes to settling down in a new country. Our JETSetters Community aims to help our employees feel “at home in their new home” by creating a network of shared experiences and offering mutual support across many of our markets.

In the past year, the JETSetters Community has expanded their support across the UK, The Netherlands, Germany, and Canada, launching Language Programmes to encourage cultural exchange and improve language skills, and organising social events for individuals to make new friends and feel supported within our business.

Did you know that we consume a staggering 6.8 billion kilograms of chocolate globally each year? Recently, we hosted events at JET in Amsterdam and London to explore how we can make a difference! 🍫

In Amsterdam, we teamed up with Tony’s Chocolonely, who shared how they’re tackling inequalities in the cocoa industry. Our teams left with insights on creating positive change throughout our communities—and a custom vegan chocolate bar to remind us how small actions matter.

In London, we partnered with Hubbub, an environmental charity using community-driven campaigns to spark powerful conversations around sustainability. These inspiring sessions connected colleagues across teams, leaving us motivated to think big about our impact! 🌱🌍

Neil has been delivering with Menulog since September 2020, where his 'I'll give it a go' attitude earned him a flexible and empowering job. An active individual, Neil enjoys hiking, running, and his true passion: soccer. Playing since age 7 and now coaching, Menulog allows Neil the freedom to balance work and indulge in his soccer community.

We recently celebrated the excitement of food and football with our UEFA activation events across our Amsterdam, London, and Berlin offices! 🌟⚽ 🎉 These internal activations showcased our partnership with UEFA and brought our global teams closer together.

With our partnership extended until June 2027, this kickoff marked the beginning of an exciting new cycle for UEFA Club Football. Here are some highlights from our action-packed day:

🛍️UEFA Charity Swag Sale: We scored big with exclusive UEFA gear, with all proceeds going to the Make-a-Wish Foundation. A big thank you to all of our amazing JETers for their generosity!

🍽️UEFA Lunch: Our teams enjoyed a delicious football-themed lunch, complete with fun surprises that brought everyone together!

🎤Fair Football Fireside Chat: Hosted by Marijn Luchtman, the panel included Terence Guiamo, football legend Aron Winter, and other industry experts who shared their insights on fairness in the beautiful game. Whether attended in person or virtually, it was a session full of inspiration!

🥅UEFA Social: We brought out our inner strikers with the UEFA precision wall, sharing laughs, drinks, and good vibes as we celebrated the beautiful game!

These events are a great way to celebrate our partnership and all the hard work of our employees, we look forward to many more! 🏆

In celebration of Black History Month, we recently hosted workshops at our London and Berlin offices.

In London, we partnered with Black Minds Matter UK for an insightful session on mental health in the Black community, fostering open and honest discussions around well-being from a Black perspective. Meanwhile, in Berlin, our team led a workshop on multiperspectivity, emphasising the importance of embracing diverse viewpoints to create a more inclusive and supportive workplace.
