Step into Suite 148, crafted as backdrop to ’s work, the force behind the world’s first sustainable couture label.
Playing with different shades of white, the suite features a custom-designed sculptural bed that can also serve as a pedestal and container for Ronald’s design pieces during special occasions. Moreover, guests can contemplate the artwork produced by him above the bed, created using leftover materials from fashion in line with his sustainable ethos.
A second room functions as Ronald’s own creative nest and features a collage wall showcasing his haute couture portfolio through photographs and sketches. The iconic atelier table was conceived as an upcycled piece, combining a plain white top resting on four second-hand elements, including two vintage cabinets, a leg from an antique table, and a mirrored pillar.

Exactly five years ago, we set out to challenge the norms and redefine real estate development, aiming for a model where social, financial, and environmental return reinforce each other, which we called Impact Development.
Today, we are proud to announce the next phase for our first Impact Development project – . On June 19th, the signing of the purchasing contract with the selling party, Crailo, and our future neighbour, de Alliantie Ontwikkeling, was celebrated on-site, marking the start of the construction phase.
Lucas Mol founded in Laren 5 years ago to create a temporary space that inspires sustainable living and circular economy practices. With the acquisition of the former military school ‘De Spiegelhorst’ in Buurtschap Crailo in Bussum, approved funding, granted permits, and dedicated builders, we are ready to start the ex*****on phase of the permanent De 𝑛𝑖𝑒𝑢𝑤𝑒 Groene Afslag. This circular icon will be a blended-use space for meeting, dining, sleeping, working, and learning.
Backed by and a team of impact financiers, and under the leadership of impact developer , this 80’s concrete mastodon will be renovated by main contractor , together with installation partners , and . We are thrilled to have them on board!
We believe this will kickstart a whole new way of developing real estate, based on a triple bottom line (people - planet - profit).
Impact Development is based on a robust framework with four pillars:
🌐 A visionary client
🏛️ Good governance (steward-ownership)
🔄 Triple Bottom Line
🤝 Success for all
Congratulations to the design and contracting teams: , Studio Max Mol, .architects, , Ingenieursburo Linssen, , ERAS Bouwkosten, STUDIO R, , , , and our colleagues Sven Butteling and Thif Tahtah, in making this important step from theory into practice. Stay tuned for more updates!

At , we understand that successful collaborations are at the heart of every great project, and the new office space for , the online visibility management and content marketing SaaS platform, is a prime example. Working closely with the leader in digital marketing solutions, we delved into their vision to create a workplace that is functional, yet inspires creativity, productivity, and prioritises sustainability 🌍♻️
Located in the Atrium building in Amsterdam Zuid, and spanning two floors, the 1,200-square-metre office was completed in a remarkable timeframe of just five months, from concept to delivery. Successfully managing the high-pressure timeframe and workflow highlighted our team’s dedication to continuous collaboration.
With a primary focus on enhancing functionality, we created two distinct floors to cater to diverse activities. The lower floor encourages social interaction, with inviting lounge areas, versatile multifunctional spaces, and informal meeting rooms. Meanwhile, the upper floor features a series of dynamic hubs designed to facilitate efficient teamwork.
In partnership with .circular.design, we repurposed and upcycled furniture from various sources, implementing an environmentally responsible and circular approach to the design.
We couldn’t be happier with the results and we hope that the Semrush team love their new home 💖

It may sound like the start of a fairy tale, but as a company, we own a beautiful hidden gem in the mountains of the Italian province of Umbria. This incredible location, called Heremita, offers us the freedom to do what we are good at and love the most: imagine, develop, design, build and activate. Here we can freely create a village based on our ReDOCK vision: to rethink how we live.
From this point on, a nee journey begins. We’ll keep you posted about Heremita, so follow us on our journey. And don’t hesitate to shoot us a DM if you'd like to learn more about this project.

This week's campfire at .nl focussed on our 'Learning Landscape' method, creating a school design with a toolbox. This method is our vision of how we can collaboratively create a school design in the most optimal form. Through workshops and collaboration with everyone involved in the school, we can think together with a school team to visualize a programme of requirements (beeldend programma van eisen) and create a design that reflects their specific wishes and educational system. This approach ultimately results in a newly built or renovated school building in which everyone feels enriched and inspired, both pupils, teachers and parents. This way, everyone can develop themselves into who they wish to be.
We learned that there is no uniform school design but that each school is different, depending on the educational system, the location and the people. Our particular vision on Learning Landscapes enables us to translate the school's specific needs, which empowers them to be a good sparring partner for developers, municipalities and construction teams to execute the vision precisely as we collaboratively imagined.
In the campfire session at DB55, Francesco Messori spoke about the ideal hybrid school and its place in society. Additionally, Irene Snel guided the attending visitors through the difficulties and opportunities in present-day Dutch school design. Finally, Irene outlined the possible ways in which we can address the various challenges and bridge the gap between the ideal teaching methods of a school and translate all needs and possibilities into a physical 'landscape' that fits like a glove.

We are proud of our colleagues as they take pride in their work. So we like putting them in the limelight, illuminating what drives them to inspire others.
Today, meet @jochemstraatman . As an interior architect @ddockdesign he is specialised in moulding imagination into new realities with a specific focus on environmental psychology.
What drives you to design things?
"Rather than designing things, I catalyse environments. In this perspective, things are more like requisites, functional or dysfunctional, taking part in a wider story. So, for me designing a space is like directing a movie, working with real themes, many layers and multiple players. It's about stories, characters, settings, life and drama, but in particular, it's about sensations and moods. Design is a fictional project inside your mind for a long time until it just turns a reality."
Is your role at D/DOCK the materialisation of a dream?
As a child, I always longed for captivating sceneries, so I imagined situations, entire enterprises, roles, and functions. These roles reflected parts of me, but they were not necessarily something I ultimately wanted to be. It was the excitement to experiment with those ideas. Back then, I was always interested in aeroplanes and flying: dreaming of a Daedalus floating through the air. Therefore, it is striking that I now design many environments for people who want to fly. However, everything that flies has to land sometime. The tension between the two, monumentality and lightness, intrigues me, and that's where my expressions can essentially be recognised for."
At D/DOCK, we are proud of our colleagues as they take pride in their work. So we like putting them in the limelight, illuminating what drives them to inspire others.
Today, meet @janina.nieper. She is the Circular Designer and Consultant behind D/DOCK's circular think tank @furnifydesign. Furnify develops outstanding projects by tackling the linear status quo by designing circular.
🔹 What is your most important mission at work?
My most important mission at work is to make sustainability easy and approachable for everyone – for clients and our design team. It should be easy for everyone to make an informed choice, knowing what impact that choice has in staying within our planetary boundaries and designing for a better tomorrow.
🔹 Why does this mission matter to you personally?
It matters to me as I genuinely believe that sustainability does not sacrifice aesthetics. Instead, it is a mindset shift by getting creative with what already exists rather than creating everything from scratch.
