Start your Arctic Adventure with Visit Tromsø!

Come see us on the 2nd floor in Prostneset Harbour Terminal. We’re the official tourist information centre for the Tromsø region, and we’ll help you out with local brochures, maps, advice and help planning your trip with our skilled and experienced team. We also help you find and book exciting activities and experiences that will make your Arctic Adventure unforgettable.

We have the largest assortment of activities available in the area, and we can guarantee you will find what you are looking for with us!

Visit Tromsø’s Visitor Centre is worth visiting itself! In the development of the new space, we have had a large focus on sustainability. We have used local entrepreneurs, “Ekte Furniture” (Real Furniture) to make the interior, and much of the material is sourced locally. For example, the support beams are hand-made by “Skjelter Sag og Høvleri” (Skjelter Saw and Planing) from wood that is collected via horse from the forests in Målselv (a town approximately 2 hrs drive from Tromsø). Real craftsmanship! Another interesting fact is that the wood that covers the information and sales desks in the tourist information are from an old “fjøs” (cow shed) in Lyngen.
