Last nights real time dancing on the starplains :)
Real time video from Thursday`s hunt :) Share if you like. (Watch in HD for best quality).
PS: This is real time video. It shows the actual speed and colors as you would have seen it if you were there. The altitude of the aurora can be between 80-90 kilometers above ground and reach up to several hundred kilometers. To put in in perspective: An airliner flies between 10-12 kilometers up, and Earths ozon layer is about 20-30 km above us. That gives you a feel for the magnitude and size of this display, but also the energy behind it. I just love my job! :D
Enjoy, you awesome people!

A date with "The Lady" :) (Music: E. Altavilla;
Last nights hunt: After a decent weather forecast, I decided to move Wednesday`s tour to Tuesday, to give my guests the best chances for clear skies (that`s why I only do 4 tours a week). We did not have to go very far: Just a short drive from the city and up to one of my special "look out" locations. After building a fire and helping out with camera settings, we did the one thing that is essential in all aurora hunting. We waited! :)
More and more stars appeared, and after a short while we could see the first green colors from the "Lady" in the horizon. She started in her usual manner: Slow and weak, but soon after she really took off!! Bands all over the sky, and purple, white and green spikes raining down above us! And not only once! We had a total of three "eruptions", all of them different and all of them equally magic! :D Huge coronas was flowing above us, and for a while we didn`t know in which direction we should point our cameras: She was everywhere!
She came & went, while we took pictures and enjoyed the homemade vegetable soup and the homebaked carrot cake. When we had enough, we said goodbye to her and returned to the city, with our SD-cards filled with pictures and our hearts filled with joy!
Remember: Life is too short to miss out on the really awesome stuff!

Not many months left until she`s back, and I really miss that green gal`! :D
This season will feature a factory-fresh van (for your comfort), and of course me,
your dedicated driver, guide, photographer, troll-hunter and bonfire-maker.
So there is no need to wait: Book your fun & personal experience with a native Norwegian
(Yupp, that`s me :) ), and remember: If there is no chance of clear skies anywhere,
i will try to move the tour (if you can`t do the move, I`ll refund you), or refund your payment and cancel the tour. People don`t pay me to look at clouds! :D

All the best,

PS: Here`s a little timelapse from a hunt some years ago: Just pan around and see if you can catch a glimpse of the massive bend in the aurora!
A difficult hunt tonight. Good coordination between me and my colleagues The AuroraChaser Kjetil Skogli, GuideGunnar and Explore the Arctic led us inland, where we found the lady hiding between the clouds. We tried everything: Even complimenting her (No, Aurora! You don`t look fat in that cloud!), but she didn`t want to come out and play! Well, it was not a fast display, but still beautiful, with the snowy trees and the magnificent landscape around us :D
PS: Still some seats left this season, so don`t wait until it`s too late!
