Upper mustang trekking is one of the mysterious trekking experiences, tucked away from the rest of the world. Mustang is an ancient Himalayan kingdom which lies in the just north of the main Himalayan range of Nepal. At around 1830, this region was a part of Tibetan kingdom of Gungthang; which is the fabled medieval wall city of Lo Monthang. The early history to lo manthang is embellished in myth and legend rather than the recorded fact. Trekking in mustang was officially opened in 1992.it is relatively easy trekking along the permitted route to lo Manthang .Trek to mustang is through an almost treeless barren landscape. The major attraction of upper mustang is the wall city of Lo-manthang, other remarkable places is eroded canyons, Tukche, view of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and Nilgiri and many more. This region is full of some of some of Nepal’s oldest Buddhist monasteries, ancient and isolated villages with quaint white washed houses which are incredibly beautiful and most attractive things around this trek.
