IGC Support for independent:

Ananda, a specially-abled child without both arms and one leg, was spotted begging in the alley of Basantapur, Kathmandu for some pennies from tourists. We learned about Ananda and took an initiative to train him to paint for about 3 months. Now he is not just a specially-abled child but a skilled painter who can draw beautiful paintings despite his specially-abled body. He now earns a good income by selling the painting he paints in the street of Sundhara, Kathmandu.

DASHAIN FOR ALL (2022 September 22)

Dashain is the greatest festival for Nepalese people all over the world. This is the festival of joy, happiness and togetherness. Abled and ordinary people can celebrate this great festival by whatever means they have. But what about those people who are a physically challenged? How can they enjoy Dashain?

We at IGC believe that every Nepali should enjoy this festival, so as a part of the IGC social movement “Dashain for all", we visited the Center for Disable people and donated food supply so that they too can enjoy this great festival with plenty of food.

With the initiation of IGC, the newly built Agriculture Processing Center of Temal Rural Municipality-2, Kavre, Nepal was inaugurated by Mr. Tamura Takashiro, Deputy Head of the Japanese Mission to Nepal
on September 5, 2022. The center was constructed in association with Association for Rural Social Welfare Nepal under the grant aid of the Japanese Government's Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP). On the occasion of the grand opening of the processing center, we would like to extend our sincere thanks to Colorbath, Japan, Ms. Akari Fukjumoto, farmers of Temal Rural Municipality, Coffee Group of Chyukha Village, and entire members of ARSOW, Nepal. We believe that this center will help to uplift the economic status of the farmers of this locality.

As Nepal's coffee branding movement, IGC organized the coffee cupping program in IGC corporate office Basundhara, Kathmandu in the presence & guidance of Japanese coffee specialists. The main aim of the program is to give the know-how to Himalayan Luxury Beans & IGC members about how to recognize the quality coffee taste. Coffee cupping is professional practice for tasting and observing the aromas and flavors of brewed coffee. It helps in the evaluation, and comparison of the flavor, quality, and potential of a given coffee. During the cupping, Nepalese coffee, East Timore, and Guatemalan beans had been tasted. IGC would like to extend our sincere thanks to Ms. Nao Masuda, the coffee expert from Sakano Tochu Co. Ltd. Japan, members of Colorbath, Japan, and all the members of IGC and Himalayan Luxury Beans (P) Ltd.

Colorbathがネパールを拠点に取り組む「持続可能なコーヒープロジェクト」の活動報告会を、4/23（土）10時から開催します。4年にわたる活動の歴史や、今年2月に実施した現地での活動内容や成果、今後のビジョンについてたっぷりとお伝えする予定です。

Nepal coffee is known as natural high Himalayan coffee which is grown in the Himalayan natural climate. It is an Arabica species coffee cultivated by individual families in small amounts on their small areas of land. So, Nepalese coffee is branded as “family coffee”. They are farming to survive their daily living not to become rich. Coffee is a major source of their children's education & medical. So, they care coffee farming the same as their children. Therefore, Himalayan Luxury Bans (P) Ltd. are in a volunteer coffee business to uplift the farmer's daily living. We not only purchase farmer's coffee but also provide high-quality coffee saplings free of cost, provide cultivation training and motivate them for coffee farming through our slogan "Coffee plantation for Education”.
