International Everest Day is celebrated annually on May 29 to commemorate the historic first ascent of Mount Everest by Tenzing Norgay Sherpa and Sir Edmund Hillary in 1953.

Though many had attempted to conquer Mount Everest before, it was Tenzing Norgay and Edmund Hillary who, after braving snow, avalanches, and treacherous terrain, successfully reached the summit.

This year marks the 71st anniversary of their remarkable achievement on May 29, 1953.

Day 1: Kilimanjaro Climbing through Machame Route 🧭
Our Kilimanjaro climbing adventure kicked off with a group gathering in Moshi, where we received a thorough briefing, checked our gear, and underwent medical checks. Afterward, we set off for the Machame gate, a journey that took about an hour and a half. Once there, our guides and crew took charge of logistics while we enjoyed lunch and stayed hydrated.

With permits secured and paperwork done, we began our hike towards Machame Camp. The trail led us through Kilimanjaro’s verdant rainforest, spanning 11 kilometers. Along the way, we were treated to sightings of black and white colobus monkeys, blue monkeys, and the lush foliage of the rainforest.

Day 01: Kilimanjaro Climbing 🇹🇿
We all gathered in Moshi and began with a pre-climbing briefing, gear check, and medical check-up before heading to the Machame gate. We arrived at the Machame gate after an hour and thirty minutes of driving. The guides and the entire crew team are loading everything, so you can relax, have your lunch, and drink plenty of water. We began hiking toward the Machame Camp after obtaining the permits and completing all of the paperwork and procedures.
On the first day of your ascent, you'll go 11 kilometers through Kilimanjaro's lush rainforest. Before arriving at Manchame camp, you'll have a chance to encounter black and white colored monkeys, blue monkeys, and lush rainforest.

Mount Ama Dablam is a majestic peak located in the Himalayas of eastern Nepal. Standing tall at 6,812 meters (22,349 ft), it is considered one of the most beautiful mountains in the world.
The name Ama Dablam translates to “Mother’s Necklace.”
“Ama” means mother & grandmother
“Dablam” is a traditional pendant containing pictures of gods worn by Sherpa women.
The long ridges on either side of the summit look like arms of a mother protecting a child and the large hanging glacier looks like a dablam.
