Mount Everest is known as SAGARMATHA in Nepal. The adventure lovers put 4 camps via south ridge situating base camp at 5300m, camp-1 at 5900m, camp-2 at 6200m -6400m, camp-3 at 7300m and south col at 7925m. The khumbu ice-fall in between base camp and cam-I has made SAGARMATHA more popular and difficult to climb. Base Camp ( 5300m) is our home away from home while on the mountain. Numerous inte

rnational teams gather here before and at the end of their climb. It lies at entrance to the Khumbu Ice Fall (18000ft-21000ft), a spectacular but treacherous horror- chamber of bottomless crevasses, seracs and ice blocks, which is crossed with the aid of fixed ropes and aluminium ladders leads to Camp-I, THE SILENT VALLEY’ (20000FT 21000FT).This is a vast, flat area of endless snow, deep crevasse and mountain walls, frequently washed by avalanches. Camp 2 (21300ft) is marked by a rocky Patch at the foot of the icy Lhotse wall. Camp-III, Lhotse Wall (23000 ft- 26000ft). This is a 4000ft high ice wall, which is climbed using fixed ropes. It leads on to camp-III, a narrow platform placed right out of the wall. A traverse then leave to the Yellow Band, a rocky section. This lead to Rock Band and Geneva Spur which lead to Camp-IV (26000ft) -the final part of the climb before the summit push- the most testing and dangerous part of the climb. A narrow ridge precedes the Hillary Step- a rock/ice climb in the sky which is the last major obstacle before finally reaching the summit. The Summit (29028ft) us at a height which airlines cruise and is approximately the size of snooker tables. It offers some of the most awesome views of the world as it overlooks Tibet/Nepal and the largest mountain range in the world, the Himalayas

In 2018, we Imagine Nepal Team helped Mr Xia Bo Yu reach the summit of Mt Everest. He first tried Mt Everest in 1975 when my parents were not even married. He got frostbite which later turned into serious disease and he had to cut both his legs from below the knee. I first saw him in 2014 at Everest base camp during his second attempt and then again in 2016 where he managed to reach almost 8700m. In 2016 I was in China to attend a Mountaineering talk show and we shared a stage in a program at Beijing. By then he had already tried Everest 3 times but no success. In 2018 I was studying in China and at that time, Nepal had banned disabled climbers from climbing Everest. He approached several travel agencies in Nepal but no one could arrange his Everest climbing permit. A Chinese Friend of mine recommended myself to Mr Xia and his filming team approached me after a few days. I had just started Imagine Nepal in 2017 September so I didn’t have anything to show what Imagine Nepal did previously except the First Nanga Parbat Successful summit in Autumn Season. In the beginning of the meeting, they were so interested to get my ideas on getting the permit but they didn’t believe I could help him arrange the permit because they had already reached the biggest travel agencies in Nepal and my company was completely new. I just asked them for a month of time and two days after I returned back to Nepal. I started meeting with government officials and friends but it was not possible. A friend of mine suggested a way where our constitution clearly clarifies equal rights. We legally went against the government's new rules relaying on EQUAL Rights and right after two weeks, his permit was accepted by the Nepal government. On his 4th attempt, Mr Xia successfully climbed to the top of Mt Everest on 14th May 2018 with team with lead guide Dawa Gyalje Sherpa and Kili Pemba Sherpa. The documentary featuring Mr Xia's Everest Expedition 2018 is now running successfully in cinema halls in China. The audiences getting out of the cinema hall in tears means this is a long run show and a successful story of a 70 years old man's 43 years dream of climbing Everest. We made his dream come true in our first try.
We will be organizing the Everest Expedition in 2022 with Imagine Nepal team and you can book it now if you have plans. booking open
