MAP (Make an Amazing Planet) Nepal would like to extend our appreciation & thank to all the National and International community on behalf of Nepal & Nepalese.

We are all aware about the massive earthquake that shook the warmest city Kathmandu and the coolest and the highest place on earth the Mount Everest too. And we are also conscious about the love, concern, support, help and the best-wishes poured from all over the world for the national tragedy which struck us recently on the 25th of April 2015 during mid-day (11:57hrs). We are moved by the unconditional concern and support we’ve been showered upon. We MAP Nepal on behalf of the whole nation would like to express our gratitude to the National and International community for being there with us and for us during our pain and need. It certainly feels good to be treated special and cared as it shows that you are all even more special and had already become another member of our family.

Hence, MAP Nepal on behalf of the whole Nepal cordially invites and would be very pleased to welcome all our National and International friends and well-wishers to our country as a family and friend. As we believe this gigantic problem is in fact another opportunity of a new beginning. Behind scene of the campaign,

In the dust, under the strong sun, and cold disregard from some travelers who thought we are promotion something, we felt hardship and discouraged, though traveling father and son, couples, group of friends, NGO activists from India for Visa renewal and single travelers showed their interests and support and spent 5 to 10 minutes to talk about the issue, their related experience or sharp criticism also.

On top of that, one of most unexpected scene was a lot of Nepali people – mostly street vendors and travel agency owner or staffs – got interested in very much and they want to bring the 12 tips flyers to share with their customers. This unexpected interest boosted our campaign more animated!

Also, we would like to express special thanks to visitors – intern and specialist from KOICA and Madan from Trek to Teach.

This street campaign is over, but we will continue to spread this 12 tips for . So, anyone who wants to introduce this idea, you are always welcome to use the content updated in our event page.

Map Nepal occupied the streets of Thamel yesterday!

The main purpose of this campaign was to spread the importance of responsible travel by sharing “12 tips for responsible travel” with travelers.

After having some conversation on responsible travel and their travel experience related to the 12 tips, people were requested to take a picture with a picket of Facebook’s Like button, showing the 12 tips, if they agreed with the tips and post the photo on their SNS with a tag .

About 50 people supported our campaign on the street. However, we are expecting to see more people around the world sharing this mission through their SNS and going viral!
