Tour of Georgia!
TOUR OF GEORGIA - Ride with us in 2024!
This is a short video from our most recent tour to the Republic of Georgia. We had a fantastic group of riders from Norway who have been with us to Nepal previously - and will come with us to Mongolia next!
In Georgia we ride KTM 390 Adventures which are perfect given the varied terrain and the ease at which this light bike can handle the conditions.
We have 8-day and 11-day tours to choose from and riders can select a mainly off-road or on-road tour depending on how loose you want it!
Give us a shout at www.heartsandtears.com for more info and come join us on this fantastic trip.
Happy New Year!

The past 2 weeks has been huge! I've been off-road guiding for the press launch of the new Triumph Tiger 900 in Malaga Spain. We've had nearly 150 journalists from various global markets come over for the event so they can check out the new beast and see what it can do. We have certainly showed them a good time! It's been amazing to meet some incredible people from around the world and make new friends. It's also incredible at how our little motorcycle touring company in the Himalayas has continued on this amazing journey. It's a real pleasure and I'm humbled to have ridden in the company of some of the greats this week. Just a few more days to go until I have to give the keys back! 😆

This week I've been riding for the Triumph Tiger 900 press launch in Malaga Spain. It's been a fun ride so far meeting the Triumph UK crew and the various journalists from different global markets. I've also been lucky enough to hang with the great Ivan Cervantes (videos coming soon!) and see this master do his thing. One more week to go!

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!
With your help, we have just reached the US$15,000 donation target to help the people of Kagbeni rebuild their homes and lives.
Yeshi (from Yac Donald's in Kagbeni) sends you all a huge hug and is super grateful for your kindness.
I'm overwhelmed with the response and thank you all so much for coming together and helping the families of Kagbeni make a start to the recovery process. In addition to the monetary support, Yeshi also wanted to mention how uplifting it is to know that so many people care about her little village in the Himalayas.
So thanks again everyone and I'll be sure to keep you updated about the progress.
Cheers,
Matt & the HTMC crew
Kagbeni needs our help!
KAGBENI NEEDS OUR HELP!
A few days ago on August 13 at 7pm, a huge flood swept through Kagbeni. The destruction was horrendous and the majority of the village was either completely destroyed or severely damaged.
The monsoon in Nepal is notoriously heavy and floods in the southern Terai region are unfortunately common place. However, flooding in the high Himalayas is not a regular occurrence and the impact of this disaster is extremely difficult for the families of Kagbeni.
On our tours we nearly always stay in Kagbeni at Yac Donald's and Yeshi is like a sister to the Hearts & Tears crew. Our guests are always greeted with warmth and genuine smiles and it is extremely sad to see such destruction to this beautiful village and its people.
I can not start to imagine how much the reparations will cost and how long it's going to take. Hopefully we can still bring our riders to Kagbeni when the season kicks off in October for some further support.
In the meantime, Yeshi has set up a Go Fund me page to try and raise $15,000 for the community and make a dent in the huge works ahead.
Hearts & Tears MC has donated $1000 which will bring the current donations to about $5000. I'm hoping that the Hearts & Tears community can lend a hand and contribute whatever amount is possible. Even if it's the amount you'd spend on a round of beers...which for Australians amounts for something!
The GoFund me page is managed by Yeshi and the link to the page is here:
https://gofund.me/e29c8539
There is further information about the disaster and how the donations will be managed on the link.
Thanks everyone. I don't normally do this kind of thing publicly, but in this instance Kagbeni needs all the help they can get.
Much love,
Matt Dai, Jo Didi, Prabinhood, Surya the doctor, Bena the dancing queen, Sakti to junior doctor, Sabitaaaaa and crew.
We just returned from our first ever moto trip to Mongolia which was pretty freakin' brilliant! There were 10 of us plus the crew bringing the group to 15 in total. We all rode KTM dirt bikes either 350cc or 450cc. The power, agility, and suspension were absolutely perfect for the terrain and style of riding. The tour itself was for 8-days but we added a couple of days on either end to make a two week trip out of it. We stayed in ger camps every night of the tour which were really great!
Towards the end of the trip, we were lucky enough to enjoy a private performance of traditional Mongolian throat singing. The first half is purely instrumental. The second half includes throat singing. To assist with your viewing pleasure, some GoPro and drone clips are overlaid.
We haven't set a return date as yet, but no doubt we will be heading back to Mongolia soon so if you're interested let me know and I'll put you at the top of the list!
Enjoy!

Mongolia! Here are some bits from the last day of an amazing tour. We're now back in Ulaanbaatar about to head out for our final dinner party with the crew. Our time here has been absolutely incredible. You gotta come check it out one day.😁😁😁
Mongolia - we love you!
We're on to our last days here now and it's been wild. We'll definitely be heading back in 2024 to explore more. We feel like we've done so much in this 8 days but really only touched the surface of this beautiful country.

Another day in Mongolia!

Just a few clips from the Mongolia trip! We're on Day 3 of 8 and it's been HUGE! Proper riding on the enduros across this magnificent landscape. It's been tough at times but everyone is doing super well. I've tonnes more footage of the riding but it's on the Gopro for now. Way way more to come!
