Hey everyone! Abi here, one of Ski Travel's dedicated Specialists, and I am thrilled to share my recent adventures to Canada! I explored Vancouver, Sun Peaks, and Silverstar, and topped off with a blissful stopover in Fiji on my way back home. An adventure!

Flying with Fiji Airways from Auckland to Vancouver was a fantastic experience. The warmth and hospitality of Fiji Airways' staff truly made the journey memorable. There's nothing like an enthusiastic "Bula" welcome!

In Vancouver, I packed in as many activities as humanly possible in just 2 days! From wandering through Capilano Suspension Bridge Park to biking around Stanley Park, exploring the Vancouver Aquarium, Granville Island, cruising on the False Creek Ferries, to indulging in some retail therapy and culinary delights, not to mention the exhilarating FlyOver Canada experience – it was non-stop excitement!

Sun Peaks lived up to all my expectations and then some. A week filled with abundant snow, endless fun, amazing food, and the inevitable sore legs. This village and mountain have so much to offer for any type of visitor. The hospitality of the people in Sun Peaks truly makes it a remarkable destination, with fantastic staff and friendly faces everywhere you turn. The mountain is immense, offering an endless variety of runs that guarantee a great experience for every skier.

SilverStar exceeded my expectations. As an advanced skier, the back side of the mountain knocked my ski boots off. The diverse range of challenging slopes, particularly the black and double black runs, provided an unparalleled skiing experience. On the front side, the picturesque gladed tree runs, expansive groomed trails, and colourful houses dotting the landscape along the cat tracks added to the mountain's unique character. Not the mention the infamous (seriously charming) village!

Lastly, Fiji was the perfect way to top it off. A glorious 31-degree sunny day by the water, indulging in snorkelling adventures, and treating myself to a soothing massage were the ideal remedies for my tired ski legs.

Spring skiing at Mammoth Mountain, Whistler, and Park City should definitely be on the cards for your holiday plans. These resorts receive a dump load of snow each year, meaning they still put on a show later in the season. Mammoth Mountain welcomed skiers until August this year, a 9 month long ski season!
