Our Story

Dunedin is a place where writers, books, and literature thrive which is why we’ve now been named a UNESCO City of Literature. A must for booklovers, my friendly and informative walking tours showcase our literary past and present via sites of interest and amusing anecdotes. INNER CITY WALKING TOUR: $25 per person Departing at 10 am EACH DAY - from October to March (if bookings warrant it). A 90-minute walk in the centre of town covering historic sites and key figures in Dunedin's literary past - as well as quirky examples of new literary projects since we've become a UNESCO City of Literature. Departs from the i-SITE Visitors' Centre in the Octagon. About the Tours CAMPUS WALKING TOUR: $35 per person A leisurely two-hour walking tour through the stunning historic University of Otago campus (with plenty of photo opportunities) which brings these literary stories to life. Tours run from 2-4 pm every Tuesday/Thursday/ and Sunday afternoon (depending on demand) from October- March. Departs from outside the University’s Visitor Centre, cnr of St David and Cumberland sts.
