HONEY - WE ARE HOME.
Yes arrived home after more delayed flights in Auckland. It turns out they had to replace the plane, now that's a good thing.
Lovely Tere was there to collect us. We arrived home and were so, so pleased to see our lovely gardens and grounds. THANK YOU to all our neighbours that looked after our home while we were away.
I walked the front garden this morning to video the gardens. (I am no video maker). Watch that video when you can.
Thanks to family in Perth that all helped make us welcomed and complimented our holiday.

Maggie and I have just returned from a lovely brunch in central Bassendean. While she is outside in the sun, I shall take the opportunity to look over the photos I took yesterday. So, here they are. What a place of variety.... of everything including the weather. ha ha

We had great day yesterday. We drove up the Brand Highway to see if we could see all the wild flowers. Yes, we spotted some and those photos are on my camera and not my phone.
I shall to put some up maybe tomorrow... ?
Regardless today's photos are three we took while returning from Julien Bay where Beven and Kim were staying for the long weekend. Perth has a fantastic traffic system and a under the city highway. See 2 photos. The country photo shows snow on the coastal hills about 200 kms north of Perth.
No, there are a few very, very white sand hills and that white just glows...

The sun all day yesterday had a distinctive red glow to it. I took a photo thought the fence in the later afternoon (NOT sunset).
It wouldn't be an Aussie holiday without a Roo, so I have attached a photo taken of 2 Roos' standing beside the road.
The orchid, is one that Beven and Kim have in their home, a lovely colour.

Today is the day we took Maggie's daughter, visiting from Cardiff Wales.
We have just popped up the road to the Pinacles, 200 kms.
Then 23 kms further on we stopped at the Lobster Shack....... Bingo .......
So, as it is 1.30 pm, we will head back to Perth.

One last post showing the temps in the car while in the "N T" before we arrived here in Perth. Boy am I glad it is only 25 or thereabouts here now. Thanks Beven and Kim for the A/C in the car. It is much appreciated.

We are in Perth now to catch up with our children and grand-children and siblings of course.
On the way from Adalaide to Darwin, as I had a window seat, I clicked of a few photos of the Terraine below. These is nothing, absolutely nothing. It could pass for the surface of the moon in places. I do think it is incredible to see what I think are pressure points where it looks like to earth has moved pushing up ridges etc. No, I am NOT a geologist, but that is my impression. You choose what you would like to call it.
Every so often, I could see a road.. to where ? and why ?
Thank you Air New Zealand and Qantas for helping us over this part of the planet.

It is our last day in the "Top End". Tomorrow off to Perth. Today was full on despite the 39 degrees.
Perth will unite us both with Family after such a long spell.
The photos will paint todays picture. We finished the day sitting and watching the sunset on the beach with dozens, maybe a couple of hundred people.

The drive from Kunurunna to Broome, time wise went T..s up. I must have mis-read the distance. I had thought that Kunurunna was just less then half way. WRONG John !!
Katherine to Kununurra was approx. 550 Kms and took about 5 hours.
Kununurra to Broome is 11000 kms and 11 hours at the top legal road speed. In the Northern Territory is 130 km/h. Then that same Rd changes state and that 130 kph becomes 110 kms/h and the road is better.
However, our arrival to Broome was a gift from God, a fantastic sunset. Check the photos. Theybwere all taken through the front windscreen, NO... from the passengers side.

I have just roughly edited a photo while travelling over to Wangavagas a couple of days ago. Yes, early morning start, good frost south of Napier (and Napier) and the ranges looked great with the red shading of the morning light. Yes, thast is still frost on the ground.

We keep getting a loud Bellbird in our tree every day.. all puffed up and singing his or her head off. When we take the sugar water out to the bottle, he/she flies across as soon as it is poured. Lovely to watch and listen to. Sorry, photos are not the best.
