Good to see the Great Journeys New Zealand Coastal pacific train coming back into Picton from Christchurch. Such an amazing journey.
-If your coming into Picton off the train and need a shuttle to your accommodation, give us a call.
ALSO, School holidays coming up. Book a trip on the train- kids travel for $25 each!!
Get to see so much landscape you would normally miss from the road/car.

Shout out to Oxley's Bar & Kitchen !!
Last night I went to Housie night at Oxleys with a bunch of lovely ladies and had a blast. Will definitely be back. Not sure when but I will.
Great vibe, friendly staff, amazing food on the menu, what's not to love.

After 9 days we have internet again!!!
Yay!!
However we still do not have a landline. It seems when we got struck by lightning it has completely ruined the phone itself.
If you try ringing it will ring, and you can leave a message but I will not get it.

Saturday night we got hit by lightening.
The phone jack exploded and came flying out the wall. Ended up about 8meters down the other end if the house.
We currently have no landline or enternet. So if you haven't heard from me this is why.

Big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my Great Grandmother who is 103 today!!!
Even though she won't see this, I still want to share as it is such an amazing achievement. She is the toughest lady I know. In the last few years she has broken her thigh bone, had shingles, and when everyone around her in her retirement home had covid she didn't get it. She still likes to get out go for a walk everyday.

This morning Picton is under a cover of fog. Driving up the elevation your suddenly above the fog and surrounded by blue sky. Down the otherside into Koromiko you back into the thick of it. Cold frosty start to the day today? Are you going to do the Picton Mid winter swim on June 16th?

So many bush walks to choose from in Picton. Love the place we live in. Next adventure, I'd LOVE to catch a ferry and do more walks on the Queen Charlotte Track.

Small portion of the Queen Charlotte Track, from Picton to Ngakuta Bay. 11km easy walk, amazing views. When we arrived at the Ngakuta Bay we were greeted by a baby seal the locals have called Oliver. He likes watching people fishing, and waits patiently for you to feed him some squid-his favorite. He even has his own little bed.

We're you in Picton on Wednesday and saw the Hot Air Balloon? It was at Picton School doing the Fly High Project with the year 6s. We used the Kiwi Holiday Tours Van as a anchor.

Early morning trip to the airport for a lovely family heading back to Australia. Sunrise, morning fog, beautiful Picton Waterfront.

Love exploring our region. We live in a beautiful location. Loving the colours of autumn and the crystal clear water. This is at a place called Lake Argyle, the Leathem Valley & the Branch Valley. Lake Argyle is about 45 mins from Blenheim Town.
