Beachcomber Cruises in conjunction with Lochmara Lodge and Sounds Connection are excited to bring you the perfect opportunity to take your team into the stunning Queen Charlotte Sounds for your end of year celebration!

Depart from Picton and cruise through the sounds past idyllic bays and secluded coves over to the iconic Lochmara Lodge. On shore enjoy a BBQ lunch as you look out over the bay, sit back and relax as you soak up the sights and take time for a walk along the beach before returning to Picton.

Drinks are available to purchase at Lochmara Lodge at an additional cost.

Check into the Beachcomber Cruises office at 11:15am for an 11:30am departure, returning at approximately 2:30pm.

Please note that the optional Bus transport from Blenheim is at no additional cost to your ticket. The bus will pick up from Seymour Square Bus Stop (opposite the council buildings) for pre booked passengers only at 10:45am for the transfer through to Picton, departing Picton wharf at 2:45pm.

Top Questions we are asked in office so we asked the Beachcomber Cruises staff.

Joining the Picton Mail Boat Cruise today onboard MV Matua -
Where is the best place to sit?

Becky: Upstairs in the back row.
Why: Its a hard choice between top deck front row or very last row, Today ill choose back row for the leg room and unobstructed panoramic views. Its also nice a handy to the stairs.

Jess: Inside, second row from the front.
Why: You get to see the mail been delivered with great views of both doors of people coming and going. Also, there are air vents in the roof that let through a nice breeze.

Lora: Upstairs on the right side almost at the front.
Why: You get to see Queen Charlotte sounds residents walking to the wharf with their dogs, the skipper handing over the mail and the dog biscuits been given to the dogs. Also there are speakers top deck so you can hear the commentary.

“We took a cruise on Lady Ann from Picton up to Cook's Landing at Ship Cove, where we stopped for a wander around, and were then dropped at Torea Bay. What an amazing day we had. The pre-planning was a breeze with the assistance and helpful advice from Becky along the way. On the day we were treated to a very memorable experience. The boat itself is fantastic. Mark, Courtney and Flame looked after us so well - we wanted for nothing. We saw penguins, dolphins, seals, and gannets. We ate food that looked beautiful and tasted as good as it looked. I highly recommend this company.
I do not often post reviews, but feel the memories we were given of a very special day, and how well treated we were, is deserving of praise.

Beachcomber Cruises has been a part of our family since 2006, and it’s more than just a business to us—it’s our passion. You’ll often see their daughters around the office, making it a true family affair!
