Based on the Picton waterfront the Beachcomber Fun Cruises office have the best views – it’s amazing that we actually get any work done! But as wonderful as they are, it gets even better when you venture into the beautiful Marlborough Sounds or more specifically the Queen Charlotte Sound. Our boats are out on the water 364 days of the year, rain or shine. Every day is different, you never know who
or what you may meet, be it frolicking dolphins, playful seals or a lone blue penguin. We have a number of different options including our “World Famous” Magic Mail Boat, Ship Cove and Motuara Island Bird Sanctuary Cruises. Cruise out to a lodge for lunch, walk all or part of the Queen Charlotte Track, whatever you want to do we can make it happen. On this page we’ll share some of our photos, let you know what we’ve been doing and of course any specials. Hopefully you’ll get to know us better and we’ll get to know you too. Life’s great in the Marlborough Sounds but with friends it’s close to perfect!

Beachcomber Cruises has been a part of our family since 2006, and it’s more than just a business to us—it’s our passion. You’ll often see their daughters around the office, making it a true family affair!
We love coming to work every day, not just for the beautiful Marlborough Sounds but because of the amazing team and community we get to be a part of. It fills us with pride to see how far we’ve come, and we can’t wait to welcome you aboard this summer season.

We are looking for a summer staff member to join our AMAZING reservation team.
The successful applicant must be able to work weekends as set roster for the summer season.

Beachcomber Cruises fun fact about our vessel Matua.
She was locally built in Picton at TCC, launched in November 2016.
Matua has taken pride within our fleet and serviced the residents of the Queen Charlotte Sounds well delivering mail 📮 and groceries 📦 and so much more over the years.
Thank you Matua and those who have been part of her journey so far we look forward to the 24/25 summer season ahead.

Sammy gave the local DOC workers the seal of approval 🦭
Sammy had fishing line tangled tightly around her neck, with the help from the local DOC workers it has now been removed.
She now swims freely in the Picton harbour eating fish, soaking up the sun and giving the local workers the seal of approval.
Keep up the great work and thank you to the locals who reacted quickly.
