Borongan is within an ace of unveiling a new tourism experience following the successful trial run of the Hebacong-Camada-San Gabriel Circuit Tour last Saturday.
Twenty leisure and thrill-seeking individuals joined the tour that began with a tree planting activity at Hebacong overlooking the sea of clouds. The party then took to the waters, aboard kayaks that traversed the Banuyo-Camada channel with the Suribao River offering a majestic view of the city’s lush forests.

After an exhilarating tour of the south, the group set off for the end of the circuit at Brgy. San Gabriel, where they personally witnessed the production of coco twine by the San Gabriel Agrarian Reform Cooperative. The circuit tour concluded with a refreshing dip in San Gabriel’s famous Kaputian Falls, washing away the exhaustion from the day’s activities.

The Hebacong-Camada-San Gabriel tour is the first of many circuit tours the city is set to open as part of its tourism development plan. Several trial runs are expected to take place in preparation for the launching of said services.

The Tourism department of the City Government of Borongan is set to conduct a trial run of its the Hebacong - Camada - San Gabriel tour on Saturday, October 19—providing participants first-hand experience of the city’s first-ever land and fluvial tour.

The tour begins with a free tree planting activity at Hebacong overlooking the sea of clouds. Participants will then be treated to a kayak experience from San Gregorio to Camada with the Borongan City Lifeguard as paddlers. Upon arrival at Camada port, they will travel to San Gabriel via coaster, offering a window to enjoy Kaputian Falls and an opportunity to visit the the budding Coco Coir industry in the city.

Aside from the free transportation service, the city government will also be shouldering the participants’ documentation needs, rendering free photography service for everyone onboard. Participants are advised to bring their own food and drinks. Should interested participants fail to make the cut, those with their own vehicles may join the group.
