A Letter of Invitation(LOI) or an invitation letter is a requirement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Government of Pakistan when you are applying for a visa. The invitation letter should be issued by a registered tourism agency. It is a mandatory document required to get the Tourist or Trekking visa. The issuing tour operator would act as your liaison for the visa processing.

پاکستان ٹووارزم ڈیولپمنٹ کارپوریشن ایک حکومتی ادارہ ہے جسکا بنیادی کام ملک میں سیاحت کا فروغ ہے۔ اس کی ایک ذیلی کمپنی (Pvt) PTDC Motels North ہے جو ملک بھر میں کئی موٹلز چلا رہا تھا۔ یہ تمام موٹلز سیاحت کے حوالے سے اہم علاقوں میں واقع ہیں مثلا گلگت، سوست، چترال وغیرہ۔ تقریبا تمام موٹلز ہی پرانے بنے ہوئے ہیں مگر اچھی مارکیٹنگ کی وجہ سے سیزن میں فل بکنگ پر ہوتے ہیں۔ ٹووارزم کمپنیز تو چھ ماہ پہلے ہی ایڈوانس بکنگ کروا لیتی تھی کہ سیزن کے دوران ان موٹلز میں بالکل بکنگ نہیں ملتی تھی۔ ان سب موٹلز کے کرائے بھی مارکیٹ کے برابر تھے کہیں بھی انکے کرائے کم نہیں تھے بلکہ کچھ جگہوں پر تو باقی ہوٹلوں سے مہنگے ہوتے تھے مگر پھر بھی بکنگ فل رہتی تھی۔ اس سے آپ اندازہ لگا سکتے ہیں کہ کتنا اچھا کاروبار اور منافع حکومت کو ان موٹلز سے مل رہا ہوگا۔
کل بروز یکم جولائی حکومت پاکستان نے بیک جنبش قلم یہ پوری کمپنی اور اسکے تمام موٹلز بند کردئے ہیں اور تمام ملازمین کو فارغ کر دیا ہے۔ باوجود سالوں کے منافع کے ان ملازمین کو گزشتہ چھ ماہ کی تنخواہ بھی نہیں ملی تھی اور اب بندش بھی ہوگئی۔
کہنا یہ ہے کہ عمران خان صاحب نے اپنی الیکشن کمپین میں شروع سے ہی ملکی سیاحت کو سرفہرست رکھا تھا اور مجھ سمیت پوری ٹووارزم کمیونٹی بہت شدت سے عملی اقدامات کی توقع اس حکومت کے آغاز سے ہی کر رہی تھی۔ کچھ اہم اقدامات تو بلاشبہ حکومت نے اس حوالے سے کئے تھے مثلا ویزہ پالیسی کی نرمی، گلگت بلتستان میں ٹووارسٹ چیک پوسٹوں میں کمی وغیرہ تو ہوئی مگر ساتھ ساتھ ایسے کام بھی چل رہے ہیں جس سے حکومتی سنجیدگی کا اندازہ ہوتا ہے۔ پاکستان ٹووازم ڈیویلپمنٹ کارپوریشن کے موجودہ سربراہ اور سیاحت پر وزیراعظم ٹاسک فورس کے سربراہ جناب زلفی بخاری صاحب ہیں۔ جن کی ایک ویڈیو گزشتہ دنوں ہی منظر عام پر آئی ہے جس میں ایک رپورٹر نے ان سے پاکستان کے سب سے اچھی سیاحتی مقام کا پوچھا اور زلفی بخاری صاحب کچھ دیر سوچنے پر ایک نام بھی نہ لے سکے اور آخر میں معزرت کر کے چلے گئے۔ پی ٹی ڈی سی کے ساتھ ماضی میں جناب مستنصر حسین تارڑ صاحب بھی منسلک رہے اور انکے دور میں ہی اس کے موٹلز کی زیادہ مارکیٹنگ ہوئی تھی جس کا فائدہ آج حکومت اٹھا رہی تھی۔ جب اہل آدمی مناسب جگہ پر آئے گا تو وہ کام بھی اچھا کرے گا۔ زلفی صاحب کرپٹ نہیں ہونگے مگر شائد اس منصب کے اہل بھی نہیں ہیں ۔ اسکا اندازہ ان موٹلز کی بندش سے ہی ہوسکتا ہے۔ کاروبار کا اصول ہے کہ اس میں نفع و نقصان ساتھ ساتھ چلتے ہیں۔ کورونا کی وجہ سے پوری دنیا میں ہی سیاحتی کاروبار متاثر ہے مگر کوئی بھی اپنے کاروباری مکمل بند کرنے کا نہیں سوچ رہا تو حکومتی ادارہ کیسے یہ انتہائی اقدام اٹھا سکتا ہے۔ شائد سربراہ نا اہل ہے جو اتنی سی بات نہیں سمجھ سک رہا یا پھر اسکے پس پردہ مقصد کچھ اور ہے۔ کافی عرصہ سے کاروباری لوگ حکومتوں پر ان موٹلز کی نجکاری کا دباو ڈال رہے تھے جو ابھی تک نہیں ہو سکی تھی۔ ان موٹلز میں کاروبار اچھا ہے اور رال سب کی ہی ٹپک رہی ہے۔ شائد کورونا کا بہانہ بنا کر مٹلز بند کرکے کچھ عرصے بعد ان موٹلز کو لیز پر مختلف کاروباری لوگوں کو عنائت کر دیا جائے۔ جو بھی وجہ ہو یہ اقدام بالکل بھی سیاحت دوست نہیں ہے۔ اس سے سینکڑوں لوگوں کی ملازمت تو ختم ہو ہی رہی ہے مگر ملک کو منافع کی مد میں ملنے والا سالانہ کروڑوں بھی نہیں مل سکے گا۔
بے دم ہوئے بیمار، دوا کیوں نہیں دیتے۔۔۔
تم اچھے مسیحا ہو، شفا کیوں نہیں دیتے ۔۔۔
مٹ جائے گی مخلوق تو انصاف کرو گے۔۔۔
منصف ہو تو حشر اٹھا کیوں نہیں دیتے۔۔۔

During the independence of Pakistan, the people of Gilgit Baltistan decided to start a revolt against the rulers of the princely state. On 1st November,1947, they got their independence from the princely state. This is observed as the Independence Day of Gilgit Baltistan.
Today is a historical day as today represents the valor, dignity and honor shown by the people of Gilgit Baltistan. We salute brave souls who took part in deciding the future of whole nation as well those who were martyred during that time...

The recent boom in tourism industry allowed a lot of great initiatives across Pakistan, including our very own Mehmaan Resort, Naltar Valley. Rehman bhai was already doing business as a homestay owner at Ghulkin and now had started up a hostel on main Karakoram Highway in Ghulkin.
A number of great people who are promoting Pakistan as the next big thing across the globe were there at the opening ceremony of the said hostel including Will Haton from Broke Backpacker, Chris Lininger from Epic Backpacker, Shah & Hashaam from Karakoram Bikers, Imran Khan from SIM Pakistan and our co-founder Shuaib.
