The folks from Paramadina Choir just took part in the Singapore International Choral Festival 2016 this week and our hostel has been filled with beautiful voices from the rooftop.
Despite their amazing performance, they did not qualify for their finals but finished 1st in Mixed Choir, 2nd in Sacra and 3rd in Folklore. This is result is by far their best performance in any competition they've been in and this achievement is only reason we need to feature them on our page.

For those heading to South Korea, here's a proposition for you!
We can run our social media platforms like any other hostel in town and continuously post content about how awesome our place is and why you should stay with us. I however, think otherwise.
Against the best interests of the owners of Shophouse Hostel, I decided to do something else.
Instead of giving you an inexhaustible list of reasons why Shophouse Hostel is amazing, we would like to present to you the inspiring people we meet on a daily basis. Through interviews and the sharing of their life experiences and philosophies, we hope to bring the world seen through their lens, to you.
Yesterday, I had a chat with Laurita Ann who shared with me the challenges of traveling as a solo female backpacker, her life philosophies and the details of her upcoming project. For you aspiring solo female travelers, stay tuned until the end for some words of advice!
