Sagal Travel and Tours Agency ltd is looking for a Sales and Marketing Officer for its Mogadishu office;
1. Serve clients by selling various travel products offered by the Agency.
2. With assistance, satisfactorily handle refunds and complaints according to policy.
3. Assist in the process of preparing and issuing invoices related to daily retail travel sales.
4. Responding to calls and queries from clients in a timely manner.
5. Advising clients on travel arrangements, e.g. visas and passports.
6. Sending out tickets and quotations to clients.
7.Keeping clients up to date with any changes.
8.Negotiating contracts and packages.
9. Aiming to achieve monthly or annual targets.
10. Promoting and marketing the business.
11.Dealing with customer queries and complaints.
12. Build and maintain relationships with key accounts.
13. Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports as required.
14. Liaise with travel trade operators, wholesalers, travel agents, trade and consumer media on various travel trade cooperative programs and promotional opportunities.
15. Utilize computer software applications to effectively track, solicit, book and follow up on accounts in a proactive manner.
16. Develop and maintain knowledge of market trends, competition, and customers.
17. Collaborate with team to achieve better results.
Skills:
1. Exposure to International destinations is expected.
2. Familiarity and, with assistance, capable of operating applicable automated airline reservation and ticketing system.
3. Ticketing software knowledge is required
4. Computer and IT skills are required.
5. Written and spoken English and Somali languages are required.

Minimum Qualifications:
1. A bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Public relations or International relations.
2. At least 3 years of previous experience of travel sales.
3. Knowledge of an automated airline reservation system preferred.
4. Any of the IATA Certified training certificates is an added advantage.
5. Satisfactory employment screening results.
