The giraffe is the tallest living terrestrial animal and can reach up to 5,7 meters high. It eats around 34 kg of foliage daily and can weight up to 1900 kg for an adult male. Although you can encounter them laying down to rest, most of the time it is standing even when sleeping. Though, it never sleeps for more than 5 continuous minutes. All in all, adult giraffes get by on just 30 minutes of sleep a night. It's the shortest sleep requirement in the entire animal Kingdom!
