You know that there is another kind of this trail?

It is called UTMB. You do the same 170 kilometers and 10 kilometers vertical in sub 48 hours running.

Current world record holder Jim Walmley did it in 19 hours 37 minutes, about two months ago.

Maybe one day we'll try it, but that is still not for sure...

For now, I'll better do it slower with lighter packs and main accent on fiming video 📹.

⛰️ ~170 kilometers on foot in under 6 days. 10k of total accent. Longest 1 day track - 43 km. And all this, two days after the Berlin marathon. 🏃‍♂️

Since accenting Montblan 🏔, about 10 years ago, I heard about this amazing trail 🏕

Everybody told about the unreal beauty of this place, but you have to see it yourself in order to be sure. 🤦🏻‍♂️I regretted hundreds of times about my s**tty smartphone camera...

Some of the places were so astonishing that we simply didn't want to leave 🏞

Do this track only outside the season. Even at the beginning of October, it wasn't empty. It's scary to imagine what's going on here in the summer 🤯

And definitely take the good head lamps 🔦 like we did with our Armyteks. We did some night and everything hikes to wake up away from people and see some impressive night views 🌚

I have totally failed my Berlin Major marathon this year.

Not only did I have an overtraining trauma during preparation this summer, but also my heart rate spiked for no reason at the very beginning of the run. I finished in 3 hours 38 minutes with insane average heart rate of 173 bpm.

However, it was very educational to see myself being passed by people over 60 years old and some pretty fat runners. Participation in such a huge marathon shows incredible diversity between runners and brings a much better understanding of one's self real condition.

The next time, I hope I'll finally combine the two and get what I want.

About 5 years ago, I already did Matterhorn from the Swiss side and heard from many people that Italian one is more impressive and more complex.

Since then, it has always allure me to try this other Lion's ridge route. We attempted it this winter, but there was simply too much snow. Now me and .h3art gave it another try during the warm season, and it went well.

Incredible views and many more places to easily find your last rest. It isn't extremely complicated. However, you really have to watch out. In some areas, if you fall, helicopter would already come to look for you, but your body would still be rolling down... Luckily, the weather was good and stable.

Of course, my Armytek Wizard C2 Pro Max was with me. And I knew I wouldn't run out from stong light during the whole accent.

My Mavic from made these pictures possible. Even with old batteries, it can still rock it.

We stayed at Abruzzi Hut at 3840 meters. It was much more comfortable than expected. There were some nice people with us. I hope you guys enjoy the pictures, too.

I heard about this hut from .h3art a lot but never actually expected to get there. It is located high in Austrian Alps, at approximately 2500 meters.

This was another amazing opportunity for filming and finally some relaxation from work. Personnel were very friendly and helpful. They made our stay comfortable and calm. We were able to concentrate on work and check out some rock-climbing routes afterward.

I hope to get here again sometime soon and try some more climbing!!!

Mariupol is a disaster for last month and there is no clear end to this.

Russian terrorist army is bombing and shelling the city without break. Civilians and crucial infrastructure are destroyed on purpose, in order to cause panic and suffering to make people give up.

This is russian strategy in all conflicts. Army is badly equipped and poorly trained, so it can't win actual fights anywhere. Russians were doing this in Chechnya, then in Syria and continued this war crime tactic in Ukraine.

Russians never fought a big professional army in the last decades. All the conflicts were with armed civilians or very small countries.

The downsides are that their military is big and they don't care about any casualties. Therefore, russians can simply kill insane amounts of their own soldiers and our civilians for nothing. Just like Soviets did in WW II.

16/03/2022

You know... it wasn't that bad before russians came...

15/03/2022

So, apparently, this is the biggest "n**i military base" in the world. There are almost 500 000 people living here. More than 1500 were already killed (these are only civilians).

Mariupol on the South Ukraine is surrounded by russian terrorists, constantly bombed and shelled. There is humanitarian catastrophe in the city. It's cut off from water, electricity and food. "Green corridors" were always stopped by russian attacks. They want to make people suffer, die and surrender.

Kids die, pregnant women die, women die, elderly die, men die, and are buried in mass graves with recognition. Rest are suffering thirst, hunger, cold, pain and fear.

Meanwhile, russians keep complaining about blocked Instagram, closed Ikea and McDonald's, suspended flights and support "liberating Ukraine from Neon**is" by painting "Z" everywhere.

The crazy world we live in...

06/03/2022

Let me guess - one more secret N**i base hidden in the middle of the houses?

Nevertheless, it's safer to let Putin kill thousands of Ukrainians than to take a risk with closing the sky over Ukraine.

04/03/2022

One of the biggest armies in the world is heroically fighting with residential buildings full of civilians.

This is real power! This is how you show how cool you are.

Luckily, we have only two "brother" folks living around trying "to save" us and dozens capitalist bastards trying "to slave" us.

04/03/2022

Biggest Nuclear Power Plant in Europe with 6 units and about 400 tons of Uranium in the reactors is under russian attack.

There is a fire at the territory, now only at administrative building.
There is also storage of spent fuel, which is far more dangerous than fresh 😅.

Firefighters aren't allowed to put down the fire; russians block them.

In the next few days, the wind is blowing in the direction of Rostov-na-Donu and Krasnodar in Russia and Mariupol in Ukraine.

By now, units are intact; however, fight still continues. It's about time to stop paying for Ukraine and start praying for yourself.

P.S. Why does all this s**t always happen about 2 AM.?

03/03/2022

Good evening. Kharkiv again.
We can see now that even agony with bombing cities is going down. With every hour, we have fewer and fewer rockets.
Occupants are definitely demoralized...

28/02/2022

Russia is now openly bombing our second biggest city, Kharkiv.

These are just residential buildings. No military facilities around. How many proofs do people need to understand russia is a terrorist?

Meta partially blocks russian PROPAGANDA!

1️⃣A special operations center has been set up, where experts monitor and respond to problems in real time around the clock.

2️⃣Added new security features in Ukraine: for example, the ability to close your Facebook profile.

3️⃣Add notes to Russian state media and ban their advertising and monetization.

4️⃣Expanded the possibilities of fact-checkers for checking information in Ukrainian and Russian. In addition, Ukrainian fact-checking partners will be additionally funded.

5️⃣We've temporarily removed the ability to browse and search for friends in Ukraine to protect our users.

6️⃣WhatSApp has added a "View Once" feature for photos or videos that will disappear after viewing. As well as "Disappearance Mode" to automatically delete all new chats in 24 hours. This will protect your information in case you lose your phone.

7️⃣Warned when users try to share war-related images older than a year.

8️⃣Notify when users try to connect to a page, group, or Instagram account that has repeatedly shared fakes.

Also, pages, groups, accounts and domains that spread lies will be removed from the recommended ones and put in a shadow ban so that fewer people can see it.

☢️ This is it guys - the Zone is CLOSED ☢️

There no official response from administration. But this is for one month at least. So tell your friends, if you know they were planning a tour.

Closing is due to our amazing neighbor 🇷🇺, causing Ukraine problems for hundreds of years already.

Everyone likes this welcoming sign.

Sometimes you get tired tourists that already don't want to come out on previous stops in Chornobyl town, but this often changes here. People use their last energy storages and leave comfy bus to make that last closing shot and leave the Zone after this forever.

Yes, only tiny part of tourists comes again (((

I'm currently in Varanasy, India. So I can't post any New Year's mood pictures. Just watching how human bodies are being burned on the bank of Ganga river)

Therefore here is list of my best engagement picture posts in 2021. Thanks to everyone for helping me with your likes, questions and comments. This what makes me enjoy having instagram)

Graffiti in the Zone is always a big question.

Some fit in really nice and look amazing on the pictures. Others are obviously a vandalism.

But there many in between and even previous two aren't accepted by everyone. Personally I am against all of them and place should be left like it is.

For me writing on the wall in Pripyat: "Sorry us native city", made with spray pain by one of inhabitants is a vandalism. The fact that you lived here doesn't give you right to spray stuff on the walls.

Nicely painted fresh tiny guys showing bad options about tourism and etcetera (often made without understanding) are also bad. That artist also came there as a part of illegal tour group probably.

And just other stupid tasteless stuff is vandalism too.

What do you think?

Often visitors ask me whether it is still interesting to see
the same things again and again?

So for the most part it gets really boring, especially because I'm occupied with tourists and can't explore on my own. However, some places just keep me amazed every time I come. There is always different sky, clouds, fog, rain, snow, wind, temperature and angles)

I love the idea, how something that was supposed to take part in one of the most destructive events in the world, now astonishes with geometric beauty.

I wonder, if the scientists who made it, using such complicated math and physics for exact purpose, so far away from grace, were they actually able to see the accidental steel goddess they created?

😎THE COOLING TOWER😎

In the very beginning hot water from the powerplant was cooled in big cooling ponds. However they are expensive to build 🏗️ and most of all you need a lot of area available.

You can use running water directly from river, what is done in some places. However you are limited by the amount of heat you can give back in the river not to destroy environment.

Or you can transform former salt production unit into the most efficient water cooler facility.

Want to know more about cooling almost 🤯 390 degrees Celsius water? Leave "+" in the comments or ask your own question ⁉️

It is hard to translate this into English) This is probably Enlarged Assembly Hall.

At the time of unit No5 construction 🏗️ workers would preassembly bigger parts of unit here. Details would come in smaller peaces, because it's easier for transportation.

When bigger part would be put together, KP-640 crane drives above the building and roof opens. That portal crane carries piece to the unit on the rails and and passes the enlarged equipment part to the cranes inside the unit.

For example: drum separators, upper and lower biological shields, main circulating pumps etc.

Real GRAPHITE block for RBMK-1000

Graphite was used as neutron moderator in the core of uranium-graphite reactor. This is the biggess upside and downside at the same time.

It allows you to work with incredibly low enriched fuel of %1,5-2,5. Natural Uranium has about %0,7 of isotope 235, what makes process incredibly cheaper, quicker and easier.

However, when water is used only as coolant, but not a moderator, problems start. In case of coolant loss in RBMK, moderator stays inside only spreading up the fission.

Together with other factors this creates positive void coefficient, what is completely unacceptable for reactor.

That's why all civilized countries shut them down. But some are still working 😅

GLORY TO FIBERGLASS!

If the cabins were made from iron, probably the wheel would never become so famous. They would rust same as the whole frame and loose all the color...

In the summer, at the background of green leaves it might look OK, but the other half of the year ferris 🎡 would merge into dense naked trees...

Luckily fiberglass doesn't degrade so quick and paint doesn't peel off. Therefore we can enjoy this contrast landscape)

BACK THEN...

Windows were so nicer only less than hundred years ago. Polissya area stil is rich in old traditions and beautiful ornaments.

We can often see in abandoned wooden houses built here long before Soviet Union occupied this territory. Ugly tasteless buildings started to grow like mushrooms together with presence of big collective farmings.

Therefore they needed bigger amounts of people, which need to live somewhere. Farmings and factories also meant availability of new construction materials such as brick and concrete, hardly found anywhere around before.

☢️ We drove over 700 kilometers including road from Kyiv. (Other bus had to bring us fuel ⛽ from outside)

☢️ We walked over 80 kilometers 🏃

☢️ We wrote 2 explanation letters to Security Service of Ukraine 🚨

And closer to the end everyone realized, that after short rest he would come back for 5 days more...
