The 10th exhibition “100 motanka dolls for Peace” started yesterday in Japan. Motanka of Margarita Petrenko from indomitable Kharkov is starring at the banner for this exhibition, which will be the last in this series.

For a little more than a year, on request of incredible Ms.Anna Inoue, we collected motanka dolls from different masters in Ukraine and sent to Japan, where she planned to hold 2 exhibitions in the city of Kamakura. Project “100 Motanka dolls for Peace” was so inspired and powerful, that the interest in Ukrainian grew significantly and everyone wanted to see collection of motanka dolls, created during the full-scale war, but showing Peace and beauty of Ukrainian culture.

Project aimed to support children in Ukraine during the war. Dolls travelled around Japan for more than a year, talking about culture, traditions, the beauty of Ukraine and the war. It was a very important cultural mission made possible by the enthusiasm, energy and big heart of Mrs. Anna Inoue. Thanks to the exhibitions, we made dozens of art therapy events for children who lost their homes... They learned to make motanka dolls, but not only. Thanks to all the masters who participated in this project with their amazing works.

After this last exhibition, all motanka dolls will be sent as a joint collection to the Embassy of Ukraine in Japan. And they will continue to work and talk about Ukrainian culture in Japan.

Do you know your pain capacity?

It seems that it should be somehow limited, but than smth awful happens again. And again.

How is start of academic year going in Ukraine?
Today is one of 1st school days after opening 1Sep.

Russian strike in . According to available information, two ballistic missiles hit an educational institution and a nearby hospital, partially destroying one of the telecommunications institute's buildings.

People were trapped under the rubble. Many people were rescued, but more than 219 were injured. So many casualties. As of now, we know about 51 killed people.

Few days earlier, September 1, which is official start of the academic year in , a rocket attack with 18victims, incl.6 children) hit an educational institution in , where a center for social and psychological rehabilitation for children and an orphanage are located.

Aftermath of the shelling at one of Kharkiv’s on 1SEP is at least 13 people

Countless messages from bombings in Sumy and Kharkiv, all the time.

A day before 31Aug, declares mourning AGAIN following the Russian attack on the multistore house with a playground nearby.
80 civilians were wounded, including 22 children. There were lot of killed people too.

And just now - again! Hit to one of the University buildings in Sumy

Motanka dolls continue their work in cultural in project "100 Motanka for Peace", initiated by super-energetic and creative Ms.Anna Inoue from Aitsugi charity project, .

Sharply a year ago we started to collect Motanka dolls (with a powerful help of motanka masters community UKRAINE - EUROPE - WORLD and personally Tato Zolo Olena Gromova) and send to Japan. At that time we planned 1-2 charity exhibitions, but Japanese people showed so much of interest for beauty of Ukrainian cultural heritage, so here is posters from 7th charity exhibition, held in Earth Plaza Konandai - Yokohama from 25APR to 02JUN. Banner features work of Ukrainian master Оксана Козиняк and Ukrainian children from Save Ukraine shelter in Gatne, made at master-classes, arranged by talented and very committed Olena Sopruzhynska

Project also includes "Art Heals" concept, where we make art-therapeutical masterclasses for Ukrainian children and cultural exchange masterclasses for people in Japan.

All of this is HUGE work and dedication of amazing Ms.Anna Inoue, who we are incredible thankful for this project and all her great efforts in promoting Ukrainian culture and telling Japanese people, what happening in Ukraine through Art. In the beginning of April, the charity exhibition «100 motanka dolls for Peace» was held in the city of , which is known for the fact that nuclear weapons were used there for the first time in the world with terrible consequences.

Ms. Anna Inoue, the leader of the “100 Motankas for Peace” project, accompanied by with some Motanka’s, visited the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park (Hiroshima Heiwa Kinen Kōen), which was created to symbolize the need for eternal peace.

Below is a message from Hiroshima from Ms. Anna:
“Dear Ukrainian Masters!
Your Motanka`s visited a place that was once razed to the ground so that some said flowers would never grow again in Hiroshima.
As you can see from the photos they are not only growing but the cherry blossoms are in full bloom.
Hold on to the hope that you will rise above the present atrocities and build a future filled with peace, freedom and prosperity like Hiroshima city did. From surviving to thriving.

We ordinary people in Japan are with you!
FREEDOM for Ukraine!
NO to oppression!”

“100 motanka’s for Peace” in from 01 to 05 of April 2024 at the former Hiroshima Branch of the Bank of Japan in Fukuromachi, Naka-ku, Hiroshima City. This is already 6th charity exhibition in Japan.

We thank Ms.Anna Inoue for all her incredible efforts to open this charity exhibition in new city and to acknowledge visitors with Ukrainian cultural traditions and support Ukrainian children.

“Art Heals” is the main concept of the project “100 Motanka doll’s for Peace”. Fundraising during the exhibitions allows us to make art-therapy master-classes for Ukrainian-children, evacuated from occupied territories to temporary shelters in Kyiv region and Lviv.
In February we made few activities:
First, as project mainly dedicated to Motanka’s, we make motanka’s master-classes on regular basis, showing children old Ukrainian traditions and help them to create their own home amulet, like in old times.
We appreciate motanka master Antonina Andreichenko for very warm master-class in Support & Protection Center UA In in February
