They're called "honey badgers" because of their fondness for honey and honeybee larvae.
They're omnivores and also eat insects, amphibians, reptiles, birds, and mammals, as well as roots, bulbs, berries, and fruits.
They live in covered and forested regions of Africa and southern Asia. Widely spread in Uganda but uncommon and rarely seen because they're nocturnal and extremely secretive.
They sleep most of the day, rounding up into a ball to protect their face and body.

They have a high pain threshold, allowing them to endure injuries or withstand venomous bites from snakes, scorpions, or other venomous creatures. This tolerance for pain enables them to continue fighting or escaping even under challenging circumstances.

They're known to savagely and fearlessly attack almost any other species when escape is impossible. Possible to repel even much bigger predators like lions, hyena or leopard.

Honey badgers kill by using their sharp teeth, tremendous jaw strength, sharp claws, and ability to attack sensitive areas even under duress from a predator

Their skin is at least six millimeters thick, approximately 30-50 times its size. The skin resembles rubber, and it is larger than the badger itself.

The badger has a gland at the end of its tail that stores a very stinky liquid.
This liquid is used to mark it's territory but also as a defense mechanism, it releases much of it when threatened.

3 days Gorilla tracking safari to Uganda (Bwindi impenetrable forest or Mgahinga national parks) with Kiboko Africa Safaris

Day 1: Our kiboko Africa safari guide will pick you up from Entebbe or Kigali airport and transfer you to Bwindi forest.
Accommodation and meals;
Gorilla Leisure Lodge

Day 2: After your early morning breakfast, you will be driven to the park gate for briefing and Gorilla group allocation. You will also be allocated a ranger who will guide you through the impenetrable forest in search of the mighty Gorillas. After reaching the Gorillas, you're allowed one hour with them and then after be escorted back from the forest to meet your driver guide.

Day 3: After your morning breakfast, our friendly guide will transfer you back to the airport for your flight out or for your next program.

The generation length of the leopard is 9.3 years.
Female leopards give birth any time of the year, and usually give birth to 2-4 cubs.
Their gestation period is short, usually 3-4 months which means that baby leopards are undeveloped when they're born.
They're born vulnerable with sealed eyes and little hair. The mother will stay with them for their first few days before venturing out to hunt. She will continue to move them from one den to the next while she hunts until they are large enough to venture out with her.
Their mortality rate is estimated at 41–50% during the first year.

At about three months of age, the cubs venture out with their mother to learn hunting and survival skills. By 12 to 18 months, the young leopards are typically ready to head out on their own. They reach sexual maturity around two to three years.
