Closely related to us, living in social family structures not different from our own, don't speak but communicate with distinctive sounds and touch, and only found in East-Central African mountain forests. If it weren't for tourism, these beautiful creatures would have perished from earth by now.

The adventure to trek through the impenetrable jungles for hours to find these giants and spend that incredible moment with a family still beats all experiences.

Help them survive by buying a permit to see them through Gap Travels. We'll take care of all the ground logistics and manage your trip at the lowest costs possible.

Today's morning adventures led us through some of the most amazing jungle experiences 😲🤭🥰

The trek was challenging and arduous, but the experience was priceless. I mean, standing in the middle of a prehistoric jungle that protects hundreds of wildlife species not found anywhere else in the world and meeting some of them is something of the novels.

My everlasting moment will always be the one hour we spent sitter next to a gorilla family. Now that was what a real African adventure is made of.

Go with Gap travels if you want to have the greatest experience traveling in Uganda because tourism is till open.

He rules the mountain rainforest jungles of east Africa. He's the largest primate on earth, with up to 400 pounds of meat and muscle on him.

Yet he's the most gentle primate of them all. ❤

Leading his family through some of the most strenuous jungles on earth. Protecting them from hideous creatures, and other dangerous primates like humans.

He's called the silverback mountain gorilla.

You can come close within 10 meters of his family on one of our adventure trips in Uganda.

Chimp adventures in the jungles of East Africa ❤🥰

Tracking our closest relative through the African jungle is, in fact, one of the world's most thrilling wildlife encounters.

Kibale Forest in Uganda is home to around 1500 chimpanzees living in 13 communities. Of these, various groups have been successfully habituated; some for scientific study, and others, such as the Kanyanchu group, are used for tracking.

Visits to the group occur in the mornings and afternoons and typically last 3-4 hours, with up to one hour spent with the chimps. The cost of the tracking permit is US$200 per person.

Secure your place on the next trip to Africa's jungle.

Family gathering: gorillas, like humans, live in families led by a dominant silverback.

They spend most of their time on the ground feeding on plants, napping, or socializing. Watching them is like watching a typical human family.

More that half of the last remaining bands live in Uganda, the rest live in the Virunga mountains in DRC and Rwanda.

Lion tracking in QENP

Most people visit the savannah plains to catch sight of the big cats. Lion tracking in Queen Elizabeth National Park is a perfect way to get close to these graceful cats.

Also, QENP is easily added to a Gorilla Trekking Safari in Bwindi.

Mama Gorilla 🥰

Chimpanzee mothers tend to breastfeed for about five years and gorilla mothers for around four years. Meanwhile, humans breastfeed for one of the shortest durations compared to other primates.

Like other primates, gorilla mothers have very strong bonds with their infants and provide complete care for them during their first few years.  This includes carrying them, nursing, being a source of warmth and comfort, and protecting them from the surrounding environment.  Because of the energetic requirements of raising an infant, gorilla moms only reproduce every four years and despite their mom’s incredible care, our long-term data show that only 75% of individuals survive infancy.

You can see mountain gorillas in Uganda. Uganda has more than half of the world's remaining mountain gorillas in two sanctuaries and charges $400 per person for a permit.

Papa silverback 💕😮

Papa silverback is a great dad. He frequently helps out with the little ones by teaching them survival skills and some playful moments.

It's pretty safe to see gorillas in Uganda's Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and Mgahinga. And they are still at a discount of USD400 per person.
