🐘 Elephant day 🐘

⚡World Elephant Day was launched to highlight the difficulty of Asian and African elephants, which face many threats like poaching, habitat loss, conflict with humans and being mistreated in captivity.

⚡It is celebrated on August 12 every year to help protect elephants for maintaining the biodiversity of rainforests.

⚡This day is marked by raising awareness about the difficulty of the elephants in the forests and also finding out possible ways to protect them.

⚡You get to kayak the Nile. It's a fun activity that you can take part in with your peers or family. The Nile is beautiful and this activity gives you a thorough experience of it's all about.

⚡Nile high Bungee. Just the thought of it gets me so excited. This adrenaline packed activity will keep you at your toes and give you the best Nile experience of your life.

⚡River rafting and tubing. If this doesn't excite you enough, I don't know what will. Firsthand experience with the Nile River.

⚡Hiking and camping. What better way to do so than to hike and camp next to the Nile River. This definitely comes with plenty of sight seeing which keeps you in sync with nature. Such a blissful activity.

⚡Did somebody say Nile horseback riding? Yes and yes! At this point, I'd say we would be right out of a movie scene. Beautiful horses, beautiful scenery, wonderful joyrides – absolute perfection.

Imagine finding all these activities in one town. Well we're 100% blessed because Jinja has it all.

🌍World Snake Day🐍

It's and we want to create awareness about these awesome creatures that have about 3,500 species in the world.

Over the years, snakes have carried a bad reputation but we want to let the world know how important these creatures and how much they contribute to the world.

4 FACTS ABOUT SNAKES

⚡Snakes don't have eyelids. They don't blink and they sleep with their eyes open😱. Spooky, huh? Worry not, they have a thin membrane called ‘brille’ that protects them.

⚡Snakes rely on external heat (solar-powered). They're ectothermic. They need to use sources of heat like the sun to warm up.

⚡Snakes swallow their food whole! It's understandable cause they don't chew. Their jaws are flexible and allow them to eat animals who are 75-100% larger!👀 The chemical in their digestive track breaks down the food once ingested.

⚡Snakes have nostrils, but they don't use them to smell. They use their tongue and Jacobson's organ in the roof of their mouth. They have an excellent smell which is commonly denoted as “smelling in stereo”😏.
Their forked tongue has multiple receptors that are able to pick up different amounts of chemical cues.
