Cheetah, the fastest land mammal on Earth.

With the ability to go from a speed of 0-60Kph in just 3 seconds and strides covering 7m, Cheetah remains undisputed!

You might ask yourself, how is it able to chase after its prey with great precision? Well, Cheetah's tail acts as a tool for balance.

Its muscular long flat tail acts as more like a radar that aid it in changing direction and maintaining balance on the ground.

This great speed, however, comes with a price to pay as it will need about 30 minutes to catch its normal breath before starting to feast on its catch.

Come & explore your passion for travelling and storytelling. Have fun while learning about different wildlife creatures.

Kagulu Rock is situated in Buyende District, about 42km from Kamuli Town, it takes about 5 hours from the capital Kampala.
The Rock is about 3600 feet above sea level.

According to history, this rock marks the settlement of the Basoga people in this area who migrated from Bunyoro led by the then Prince Mukama Namatukula.

This is believed to his settlement and later his Kingdom seat due to its high altitude that allowed him have a great views of the surrounding.
Kagulu is a significant landmark in the life, history, sustainability and continuity of Busoga Kingdom.

Although the cultural value of Kagulu extends to cover a wide area, the remaining and visible landmark is the Kagulu hill.
The hill sits in between two roads that divide at the foothill, leading to Gwaya and Iyingo areas.

The hill is also among the many hills in Uganda that have been adapted for tourism to increase the opportunity for rock climbing.

It's sides are fenestrated by a number of crevices and undulations which are covered by a diversity of flora and fauna all of which contribute to its diversity of beauty and functions.

At the top, it's a spectacular 360 degree views. One is able to see the whole Busoga from Lake Victoria, River Nile, with an expanse of green vegetation and views across to Teso, Lango and Lake Kyoga found in Northern Uganda.

Due to this adventurous experience along the hill, Kagulu hill is considered as one of the interesting places to visit in Busoga.

On 26th the main celebrations day, we shall start with the rock hike at 8:00am, and the Chief hiker is the Kyabazinga of Busoga and the first Deputy Prime Minister Rt Hon Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga

Forests are home to about 80% of the world's terrestrial biodiversity, with more than 60,000 tree species.
Around 1.6 billion people depend directly on forests for food, shelter, energy, medicines, and income.

Without trees, we would hardly be able to breathe due to air pollution, traffic exhaust, heat, and industrial fumes. Our air would be completely polluted.
The forests and trees clean our air and filter out particles that are harmful to us.

Join us in helping to protect and preserve our planetโ€™s natural resources and biodiversity for generations to come.

Let's plant more trees.
