Giraffes' necks are just like ours… almost. A giraffe's neck has seven vertebrae, the same number as a human. However, a typical human neck is a mere 4.3 inches in length, while a giraffe's is 6 feet long with vertebrae that can measure more than 10 inches each. Giraffe's long necks are also used to compete for female attention during courtship and mating rituals. Long necks enable giraffes to feed on leaves beyond the reach of competitors.

The giraffe is a large African hoofed mammal belonging to the genus Giraffa. It is the tallest living terrestrial animal and the largest ruminant on Earth. What an incredible experience! Our director traded in his suit for farm rain gear and decided to join us for an amazing adventure trip to the beautiful mountains of Kanungu. We had the time of our lives joining in on the local farm activities like tree planting, goat chasing, goat rearing, harvesting fruits, and milking cattle. It was an amazing experience that allowed us to really get in touch with the local community and be an active part of their everyday life. A big thank you to ARC for offering us this incredible tour and for their help in improving the community. 🌾🐐🥛🐄

We are extremely saddened by the event that befell the tourists and the guide in Queen Elizabeth National Park in Western Uganda.
Although the Uganda Wildlife Authority and the security team are looking into the matter, they have informed us that everything is in order and that daily operations are taking place in the national parks.
Because extra measures have been taken to ensure that a similar occurrence does not occur again, Uganda is a safe destination to move to, and everything is under control.
We offer our sympathies to the victims' families; may their souls rest in peace.

The Ik tribe sometimes called Tueso; is an indigenous community residing in Karamoja region, living high in the mountains of Morungole northeastern Uganda that are part of the Cultural Safaris to Kidepo. The group is unarmed and habitually peaceful. They are hunter-gatherers. They have experienced and been affected by various human rights violations, including forced evictions and/or exclusions from ancestral lands and natural resources, with 70% of the land lost to conservation initiatives, as well as violence and destruction of property, which result in continued impoverishment, social and political exploitation and marginalization. They find pride in their culture that's why they are naturally beautiful.

The Karamojong or Karimojong are a Nilotic ethnic group. They are agro-pastoral herders living mainly in the north-east of Uganda. Their language is also known as ngaKarimojong and is part of the Nilotic language family. Karamojong are notorious as cattle raiders. Unlike most other Ugandans, many Karamojong shun western-style clothes and instead wear "traditional" dress of a blanket -like shawl, often in red and black.
The principal ethnic groups of Karamoja are classically identified within the “Karamojong Cluster,” i.e., the Dodoth in the north, the Jie in the center, and the Karimojong in the center-south. The Karimojong further divide themselves into three major regional and ethnic sub-groups, the Matheniko, Bokora, and Pian.

Weighs between 1,300 and 3,200 kg, Hippopotamus inhabits the lower reaches of Uganda's rivers and small lakes and spends the day in water emerging at night to feed on short grass swards. It is one of the most sought-after big animals on safari in Uganda.Their eyes, nose and ears are located on the top of their head, which means they can see and breathe whilst submerged in the water. What's more, these super-cool creatures sweat an oily red liquid which helps protect their skin from drying out – and acts as a sunblock, too! Cool, huh?
