Seated on a pavement on the South-bank of Nile, he welcomed us with a beautiful Luo smile as he played is stringed instrument. Super-skilled, his fingers moved in a miraculous and coordinated fashion to produce one of the sweetest sounds we have ever heard. The adungu is an open harp chordophone of the Alur, a Nilo Saharan-speaking people of northwestern Uganda!
