Polar Paws is an organization teamed up with 4 Paws for Ability to bring the fostering program to the Ohio Northern University Campus.

Polar Paws is an organization teamed up with 4 Paws for Ability and Ohio Northern University to expand the 4 Paws' mission to improve the lives of children with disabilities. To do this, the members of Polar Paws foster and socialize 4 Paws for Ability dogs and aims to educate the community on the role of a service dog. To succeed in these tasks, Polar Paws members form teams and host a 4 Paws' do

g for 6-12 months. Members bring their foster dog everywhere with them to expose them to a variety of different environments, people, and situations. When Polar Paws' job is done, we hope to have produced a well-rounded, confident dog competent in basic obedience and at ease in public. The foster dog then returns to 4 Paws for Ability for evaluation, and then may enter advanced training at the hands of 4 Paws' excellent professional trainers. It is Polar Paws' goal for Ohio Northern foster dogs to one day assume the role of a service dog for a veteran or a child with a disability. Polar Paws is hosting a Bark Madness fundraiser!! The dogs will be put against each other for a battle of the cutest! Every other day a new pair of pups will be posted and can be voted on through venmo!

When voting, please make sure to add the dogs name in the comment.

Unlimited votes are welcome! Bark madness starts tomorrow, March 19th. All proceeds goes to the Ohio Northern dogs for socializations, treats, toys, etc.

Meet Fey!

Fey is from the Dungeon and Dragons litter born 8-8-23. She loves to play and learn new tricks. When you see her around campus you can tell that it is her by the black spot on her back leg. She loves belly rubs so make sure to ask to pet.

We're taking a look back on 2016! We are so thankful for all of the wonderful opportunities we were given this past year. We had 7 of our pups become service dogs, 1 pup became a breeder dog, and we officially became an organization on April 4th 2016. We could not have accomplished any of this with out the support of our friends, family, advisers, and of course 4 Paws for Ability. We cannot wait to see what 2017 will bring us and are excited to be going into the new year with you!
