There’s plenty to do in the area this Memorial Day Weekend.

Saturday May 25th:
• Annual Craft Fair at Schouler Park in downtown North Conway on Saturday May 25th 10 am to 5 pm, Rain or Shine. There will be over 100 exhibitors featuring a plethora of delightful foods, crafts, paintings, and toys.
• Food Truck Festival at the North Conway Community Center on Saturday May 25th, 11 am to 4 pm. 8 different trucks featuring pretzels, Gluten Free items, Kettle Corn, and Sandwiched to name a few.
o There will also be a variety of live entertainment from 11 am to 1 pm and again from 2 pm to 4 pm.

Birds are chirping, daffodils and tulips are beginning to blossom, buds on the lilacs are starting to grow, the sun is shining warm upon our faces, and the pair of mallard ducks have returned to our pond for another year. Ahh…….. It’s finally starting to look and feel like spring.

What a storm...... Kudos to the maintenance staff for keeping the property roads, parking lots and walkways clear; it was a lot to keep up with. After some power outages ..... we're back up and running here. We have power, condo vacancy and lots of snow!

Come up and enjoy the new snow.... The local ski areas are ecstatic! After closing for the season last weekend, Cranmore Mountain decided to re-open for a bonus weekend, tomorrow and Sunday. Upcoming forecast for this week is supposed to be in the 50's... get out and enjoy a weekend of spring skiing and come north to the mountains.

Due to current weather conditions and staff unable to get to us, we have made the decision to close the offices and Clubhouse at 4pm today. We will re-open tomorrow morning at 9am. If you have to be on the roads remember to drive slowly, and give the plow drivers room that they need to plow the roads. Stay safe and we'll see you tomorrow morning.

Wow..... Mother Nature roared like a Lion on this storm, delivering 24-inches here on the property. The skiing and riding season has been extended a bit longer.

I would like to thank those owners who lent a helping hand this morning with shoveling the stairs and walkways; assisting others with shoveling out their cars; or helping the maintenance staff with the truck that was off the road.

I would also like to thank those renters who stayed here this weekend during the storm, for your understanding and patient with the maintenance team doing the best that they could to battle the storm and the intensity in which the snow came down.

Most importantly, I would like to thank and praise the staff in ALL departments who worked during the storm, it was not an easy one. I know that there were moments that you felt overwhelmed, but you persevered.

For those looking to experience the 2024 Solar Eclipse on April 8th, The Seasons Resort at Attitash is the perfect viewing destination. Here, we will experience close to 95% coverage of the sun, with great open views of the sky. Viewing of the total eclipse is just a short drive further north. Spring officially arrives late today, and we will close the door on the 2023/2024 winter season here at the Seasons. Hmmm….. Is Mother Nature truly done with winter like weather? We think not! March is always a month that you can count on those few last flakes of snow falling in a heavy wet form…. Extending the spring skiing and riding season just a bit longer.

Sugar season is underway, and producers are gearing up for this weekend, March 16th & 17th, it’s Maple Weekend here in New Hampshire. Stop by any local sugar house and learn the importance of the freeze-thaw cycle, and the process involved in procuring that liquid gold. Some use sap buckets and some use plastic tubing, and some use a combination of both to collect the sap. The sap is then boiled down to a beautiful amber color and bottled for all to enjoy on pancakes, waffles or even a bowl of oatmeal.

Closest sugar house to us is the Believe in Books Literacy Foundation’s 100-Acre Wood Sugar Shack located on Route 302 in Intervale.

We are excited to be welcoming back for their 4th year, the Merrymount Association from Quincy, the weekend of March 15-17, 2024.

Also returning on Saturday March 16th and open to anyone... will be Smokin’ Rednecks food truck. They will be parked by the Clubhouse entrance with service beginning around 4:30/5:00 pm. Stop on by and visit Bobby and Michelle and try some of their homemade barbeque meats and Sweet Potato Shepherd’s Pie.

Wow! Mother Nature sure packed a punch with the storm that came in overnight…… Heavy wet snow, switched to rain, and currently it’s back to snow. A storm like this wouldn’t be complete without a power outage, of which we have already had 2 this morning.

Whether you’re hitting the slopes today to enjoy the new snow or traveling home; we wish you safe travels on your journey, and remember “Jessica’s Law” in New Hampshire, which legally requires drivers to clean snow and ice off your vehicles before getting on the road.

We want to take a moment to thank the renters/owners who are currently on property who moved their vehicles to assist our maintenance in being able to plow the parking lots and property as efficiently and effectively as possible. Thank you.

Thank you to all who did a snow dance to ring in the new year. Mother Nature has delivered, and January is off to a snowy start. We received 8-inches of snow here on the property from Sunday’s storm, and there is more snow in the forecast with two additional larger storms for this week. Keep up those snow dances, it’s better than the alternative precipitation that begins with ‘r’ and ends with ‘n’.

There is a Winter Storm Warning in effect from today January 9th around 5 pm through Wednesday January 10th at 7am, with heavy snow/wintery mix with predictions of 10-15+ inches possible. Snow could be heavy and intense at times with accumulations of 1 2/2 to 2 inches per hour. An easterly wind will accompany this storm, between 10 to 15 mph increasing to 20 to 25 mph after midnight. Some areas could see gusts as high as 45 mph.

The next event, which is still being watched closely, will begin Friday January 12th and continue into Saturday January 11th, just in time for the holiday weekend. Stay tuned……….

Traveler Alert from The New Hampshire Department of Transportation– Temporary Closure of Route 302 in Crawford Notch.
From the west, Route 302 is open nine miles from Twin Mountain to the AMC Highland Center. From the east Route 302 is open 13 miles from the intersection of Route 302 and Route 16 in Glen to Hart’s Location Town Offices.
Eastbound travelers on Route 302 will be detoured in Twin Mountain to Route 3 north, to Route 115 north, to Route 2 east, to Route 16 south back to Route 302. Westbound travelers on Route 302 will be detoured at the intersection of Route 302 and Route 16 in Glen, to Route 16 north, to Route 2 west, to Route 115 south, to Route 3 back to Route 302.

Journey to the North
This year our magical package includes: 2 or 3-nights lodging, your choice of seating in Coach or First Class on the Journey to the North Pole Train in North Conway.

As the cozy train zips through the night, yummy treats and hot chocolate warm your heart and soul. Once at the North Pole, Santa's Elves will greet you and guide you into Santa's Workshop. Along the way there is a quick stop at the Post Office where you can mail your letter to Santa. When you arrive at Santa's Workshop you will see Santa Claus, who will share a dramatic reading of Clement Moore's "The Night Before Christmas". The Elves will lead a caroling sing along, as well. This is a unique and special experience, one that your family will remember forever!

The Early Performance starts at 4:15 PM and Late Performance starts at 7:15 PM. All trains begin boarding 30 minutes prior to scheduled time and depart promptly.
