A chairlift replacement, terrain redesign, increased snow making, a new beginner trail, and extended tubing season are just a few of the enhancements that will welcome visitors this winter at Beech Mountain Resort.

The biggest project completed since last winter season has been the replacement of Lift One with a new Doppelmayr Quad Chairlift equipped with a loading conveyor, marking the third new Doppelmayr Quad installed in four years.

Novice skiers will have more space to hone their skills with a new beginner trail named Carolina Caribbean, paired with an enclosed carpet conveyor lift. This additional space also allows an expansion of lesson offerings to all ages.

Snow tubing, one of the resort’s most popular amenities, now has all-weather snowmaking. Latitude 90 is an enclosed refrigerated snowmaking system, so the outside temperature has little effect on snow production. This new technology extends the tubing season and allows the implementation of pre-booking.

As a part of a multi-year snowmaking upgrade project, ten new SMI automated fan guns are joining the fleet, bringing the overall fan gun total to 93.

Other additions on the slopes include an enhanced terrain park in Powder Bowl, a beginner park in Meadows with new LED lights, and upgrades to Lift 7, servicing West Bowl, formally known as Oz Run.

At the base of the slopes, the picturesque village at Beech Mountain Resort continues its transformation with expanded social areas for families and groups of friends with fire pits and additional outdoor seating.

Join DJ Pete for one of the most anticipated parties of the year. Enjoy games, music, and a photo booth, all free. Food is available for purchase, and the Lodge Bar and Play Yard Provisions are open for all parents wanting a beer or cocktail. Stick around till midnight to watch the fireworks display.

Countdown in the Village | 7 p.m. to 12 a.m. 👉

Party the night away with Red Bull, surrounded by one of our many fire-pits. DJ Big C will play all your favorite songs outside in the village. Grab a hot cocoa or s'more kit from First Chair Coffee Shop or a beer from the Brewhouse. Famous Brick Oven Pizzeria will be slingin' their world-famous pizzas at their food truck. All events are free, and make sure to stick around for the fireworks display at midnight.

New Year's Eve Celebration | 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. 👉

Party the night away with DJ J Overcash and North Carolina's favorite party band, Irresistible Groove. Head downstairs to the Red Baron Room Bar for a Silent Disco party, or grab a group photo at the complimentary photo booth.
Open to ages 16 and older. An adult must accompany anyone under the age of 18. Tickets are $15.

Fireworks | 12 a.m. 👉

Head outside and watch our New Year's Eve Fireworks display. Fireworks are visible from the village and cafeteria area.
