Anthony Childress (and friends) is a group of three talented and highly engaging musicians based out of East Tennessee and Southwest Virginia, Anthony Childress looks for connections and shared experiences in the songs performed. Having played a number of downtown businesses and gatherings, they offer familiar songs in unfamiliar ways, as well as many originals that showcase their emotional connection to their music.

Join us on April 21 at 7:30 a.m. as we hit the Ivanhoe Birding Trail for an Earth Day Bird Count. Bird surveys offer a way to learn about population trends; especially our migratory birds that travel thousands of miles each spring. We welcome birders of all skill levels.
Why are we birding so early? Have you ever heard the saying "the early bird gets the worm?" Many birds are most active in the early morning, taking advantage of the abundance of insects at that hour. Expect to hike about 1.5-2 miles on the birding trail.
