Awards that Terry has received from The Professional Photographer's Association (PPA) of Pennsylvania include the 2006 and 2009 Print Competition awards in the category of group portraits. Schriever Memorial Trophy for a print entitled “Upside Down”. The Schriever trophy is considered to be among the most prestigious awards given by the PPA of PA. To be considered, a photo must meet 12 elements and be accepted by a panel of jurors before it becomes a “merit print”. However, the winning print is selected by popular vote among all the photographer's peers at the state convention. In 2008 and 2009, the PPA International Association granted her the honor of having two prints entered into their prestigious "Loan Collection". The Loan Collection is a book of special prints that have been selected by a group of judges from the PPA. The prints become the property of the PPA and are displayed throughout the country. In 2010, she was honored to be selected as the winner of Best Portrait of a Group in PA and received the Kodak Gallery Award for Photographic Excellence in PA. In 2011, the Professional Photographers of Pennsylvania, Inc held their 74th Annual Convention. She was the only photographer to be awarded entry into the Club of Excellence because she had four prints which together scored over 320 points, and each print received a blue ribbon. In addition, she was honored with the Image Maker of The Year Award. This honor is given to one Pennsylvania Photographer each year. During this same event, one of her images was awarded the Best Portrait of a Woman. Terry’s specialties include color fine art oil portraiture, as well as black and white portraits.
