Don’t let the rain get you down when your at Disney! Here are some tips and tricks for during and after the rain!

☔️ Bring a Poncho! Lighter than an umbrella & can be bought in bulk on Amazon or grab at Dollar Tree! Pack atleast 2/person, AND pack gallon-sized ziplocks to throw the poncho in after. Then hang it up from a towel hook to dry when you get back to your resort!

☔️ Wear shoes that can get wet! I go for cushy hiking sandals (plus they have good traction for slippery concrete), but if you need sneakers get shoe covers! (Pack extra socks to be safe too!) Keep a close eye out for blisters too!

☔️ Stick it out! If you can wait through the rain storms, especially in the evening, often the crowds are lighter because so many people headed back to their hotel during the storm.

☔️ Self-Care Break! Find a spot to eat, go to the bathroom, browse a store, all indoor activities that will keep you dry & get you ready to go when the storm lets up!

☔️ Know what’s closed: Lightning will shut down outdoor rides (like Slinky Dog or Mine Train) as well as some transportation (like the Skyliner!) so if it’s raining don’t count on that for travel! (You’ll probably need to take a bus.)

☔️ Check out less popular indoor attractions, here is a quick list of some great options:
