Artemis I will be the first integrated test of NASA’s deep space exploration systems: the Orion spacecraft, Space Launch System (SLS) rocket and the ground systems at Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida. The first in a series of increasingly complex missions, Artemis I will be an uncrewed flight test that will provide a foundation for human deep space exploration, and demonstrate our commitment and capability to extend human existence to the Moon and beyond. During this flight, the spacecraft will travel 280,000 miles from Earth, thousands of miles beyond the Moon over the course of about a three-week mission. Orion will stay in space longer than any ship for astronauts has done without docking to a space station and return home faster and hotter than ever before.

The Santa Skydivers are an annual tradition on Cocoa Beach. Imagine sitting on the beach enjoying the sunshine and watching red-suited Santas jumping solo and in holiday formations over the ocean and gently gliding toward the beach.
You’ll see nearly 100 Santas make their jumps. Their marks on the beach are giant inflatables including a red and green holiday sleigh and Santa’s chair.
Spectators line the shore on restaurant patios, the famous Cocoa Beach Pier, and the beach itself, cheering in unison as the Santas come in for their landings. It’s an amazing community celebration that puts everyone in a holly-jolly mood.

"We stayed for a week while our son attended Space Camp. It’s a lovely house on a quiet street with friendly neighbors. The house is well set up for families or couples. The pool area is great. Beach is fantastic. It’s exactly as pictured-no surprises. It was super easy to check in and out. Water pressure was great and all the bathrooms were fully updated. It was clean and had plenty of cookware, even though we mostly ate out. "
