The 6th Annual Virginia Osprey Festival is coming to Colonial Beach on April 13th! 9:00 am – 4:00 pm at Town Hill, Colonial Beach, Virginia: Intersection of Colonial Avenue and Washington Avenue.
***Note that all events on Town Hill are FREE*** - this includes all exhibits. Tickets are Required for presentations at the Fisheries Building, Golf Cart and Trolley Nest tours also require tickets.
Single- $10.00, Full Nest- $15 (family ticket). Children 12 and under are FREE and must be accompanied by an adult.

Celebrate the New Year on Town Hill as Colonial Beach drops a crab pot to countdown to 2024! Sunday, December 31, 7-8 p.m.

A lighted crab pot will be “dropped” on Town Hill at 8pm.

Art Walk November 10th and December 8th

Submit the best photo of your pet and you may win a $50 Gift Card to Beach Paws Boutique! Contest is open to all pet parents and guardians who live, work, play, or shop in the greater Colonial Beach area.

Limited to one entry per pet. Photos will be displayed at Beach Paws Boutique from November 10th through December 30th.

There will be “People’s Choice Awards” from the November 10th Art and December 8th Art Walks. Juried Judging will be done by professional photographers the week after the December 8th Art Walk. Winners will receive gift cards from Beach Paws Boutique.

Contest is limited to one entry per pet. Submit photographs electronically in .jpg format. Dr. Caryn will create 4x6 prints at our local Walgreens for display and judging. Include the pet’s name, your name, address, phone, email, and your relationship to the pet. Entries must be received by 5:00 PM on Wednesday November 8th to be included in Art Walk on November 10th. Entries received after the November deadline through December 6th at 5:00 PM will be included in the December Art Walk. Please submit early!

In addition to the winter wonderland and Christmas parade on December 2nd, the Colonial Rod Club and the Colonial Beach Chamber of Commerce are teaming up to help out CB Kids. Along with the events of the day, the Rod Club is hosting a car show at the winter wonderland. There is NO entry fee, we ask only you bring an unwrapped toy to help benefit CB kids. There will be an award for the best decorated car/truck. If you are interested in participating in the parade contact the C.B chamber of commerce. Line up and decorating for the parade will begin at 10:00a.m. at the C.B.H.S on 1st street. If you don't want to participate in the parade and just want to attend the show, parking for that will begin @10:00 on town hill at the corner of Colonial and Washington, a member of the rod club will be there to assist you. We also will be doing a 50/50 to help out Bob and Jan Swink who work so hard year after year to make this event awesome. We encourage everyone to help out with this so even if you don't have an old car and just attend, please consider gifting an unwrapped toy to help out those less fortunate. Make sure to come by the Rod Club table, there will be candy and FREE hot wheels cars for the little ones. Come on out and enjoy a fun filled day!

Visit Colonial Beach for the 9th Annual Bivalves for Bo***es Fundraiser to benefit the Virginia Breast Cancer Foundation hosted by Denson's Chesapeake Bay Farm to Table Catering & Food Truck and Colonial Beach Brewing! New addition this year if the 5k run/walk along the shore.The race starts and finishes at Colonial Beach Brewing with an oyster and seafood feast!

The Annual Fall Festival and Halloween Golf Cart Parade is coming up this Saturday, Oct 21st!

This fun-filled, family event takes place on Town Hill (corner of Colonial and Washington Avenues). It features food and craft vendors, inflatable slides and bounce houses, arts and crafts, games, a fire pit, music, costume contests and more. The day is capped off with a very, very frightening decorated golf-cart parade! Watch the festive carts drive “the Point” the Saturday before Halloween.

The 56th Annual Labor Day Arts and Crafts Festival is a vibrant celebration of creativity and culture that takes place on the beautiful boardwalk of our historic Colonial Beach coastal town. As attendees stroll along the boardwalk, they are treated to the sight of skilled boardwalk crafters demonstrating their craftsmanship in real-time. Westmoreland Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center is hosting a free community movie night on Friday August 4! Showing Lyle Lyle Crocodile ! They will have beverages and popcorn. If you're willing and able to please consider donating some school supplies which will be given to Colonial Beach Public Schools. There will be a bounce house and a temporary tattoo station for the young ones!
